Sanctions EMEA Team is responsible for sanctions screening of cash transactions for EMEA countries. Sanctions Junior Analyst is an entry-level role responsible for processing relatively complex to complex tasks as part of the sanctions control performed in the Department. The overall objective is to ensure the highest quality of customer service through timely and accurate execution of controls, in accordance with policies and other documents defining standards.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Perform verification of transactions and documentation against sanctions requirements within defined timelines
  • Collaborate with other bank units
  • Ensure compliance with the procedures and rules prevailing at Citi
  • Active order management from receipt to completion (status tracking, handling queries, sending reminders)
  • Identify and escalate issues encountered during daily activities
  • Provide support to other teams as directed by the manager
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and reporting control issues with transparency

 

Requirements:

  • Experience in sanctions or a related area (AML, KYC, Compliance) will be an asset
  • Good command of English, both written and spoken (B2 or higher)
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Customer-oriented mindset with a focus on service quality
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage tight deadlines
  • Ability to work under time pressure and in a constantly changing environment
  • Knowledge of Cyrillic will be an additional asset
  • Readiness to work in shifts (early – 5:00 AM, mid – 8:00/9:00 AM, late – 11:00 AM), including public holidays and weekends on a rotational basis
