Safety Specialist | Abington, PA

Responsibilities

HazTek is seeking an experienced Construction Safety Manager in Abington, PA to provide on-site EHS support for a large-scale industrial construction project. The ideal candidate will promote a proactive safety culture, ensure regulatory compliance, and partner with project teams to support safe execution of all construction activities.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily safety oversight of construction activities
• Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and project safety requirements
• Monitor high-risk activities including fall protection, cranes, MEWPs, ladders, excavation, and power tools
• Lead safety orientations, toolbox talks, and daily pre-task meetings
• Investigate incidents and recommend corrective actions
• Maintain required safety documentation and reports
• Collaborate with field leadership to promote a strong safety culture

Qualifications

• 5+ years of construction safety experience
• Experience supporting industrial, manufacturing, commercial, or mission-critical construction projects preferred
• Strong knowledge of OSHA construction standards
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• OSHA 30 Construction required; OSHA 500/510 or CHST, ASP, or CSP preferred
