Job Description
• Ensure delivery of a complete Engineering Dossier with a robust, fit‑for‑purpose Mechanical Rotating design compliant with the Basis of Design, applicable standards, and fully suitable for procurement, fabrication, transport, installation, operation, and SITE execution.
• Coordinate and oversee Mechanical Rotating engineering and SITE support activities in compliance with project standards, procedures, schedule, quality, and safety requirements.
• Challenge Contractor designs and manage the development and review of Mechanical Rotating deliverables, including LLI packages, vendor documentation, and SITE‑ready designs.
• Monitor Mechanical Rotating activities across engineering, procurement, fabrication, construction, expediting, FATs, and SITE Work; participate in progress reviews, technical meetings, and vendor inspections.
• Drive technical optimization, standardization, and value‑engineering initiatives aligned with cost, schedule, SITE constraints, and contractual requirements, in coordination with the Rotating Engineering Lead.
• Identify key technical decisions, risks, deviations, and scope changes; define resolution pathways, manage follow‑up actions, and report status to the Rotating Engineering Lead.
• Coordinate closely with other disciplines, Weight Control, construction, and SITE teams to manage interfaces, constructability, transport, installation, and operational constraints.
• Contribute to the identification, specification, and management of Long Lead Items, considering fabrication, logistics, and SITE execution impacts.
Qualifications
Professional Experience (years): 15+ years in Oil and Gas projects
Experience in similar position (years): 10+ years at same or equivalent position with managerial responsibilities
Level / Diploma: Engineer, Master of science
Languages: English mandatory
Detailed engineering, Reciprocating compressor, Centrifugal compressor experience
Additional Information
Place of work (City & country ) : Chengdu, China then Baku, Azerbaijan
Working Schedule : Resident 5 days per week
Starting date : 01/09/2026
Duration of the mission : 12 Months
