Risk Management Manager

ACG_3721_JOB Our client is a leading fintech company who is looking for a qualified candidate to join their firm. Risk Governance and Strategy Develop and maintain an enterprise-wide risk management framework aligned with ISO 31000, Basel operational risk principles, and applicable State Bank of Vietnam regulations. Define the company’s risk appetite and tolerance thresholds, ensuring that risk considerations are incorporated into strategic and operational decision-making. Ensure that the risk governance framework is aligned with relevant information security and compliance standards, including ISO/IEC 27001 and PCI DSS. Provide the CEO with advice on enterprise risk trends, regulatory developments, and key risk mitigation priorities. Enterprise Risk Oversight Oversee the identification, assessment, and management of key risks across all business lines, products, and partnerships. Supervise compliance and operational risk assessments for new products, projects, and business initiatives. Ensure effective and consistent coordination among the Risk, Compliance, Legal, Technology, and Operations functions. Fraud and Transaction Risk Lead the governance of fraud risk management across the company’s e-wallet, payment gateway, and merchant ecosystems. Approve and oversee policies relating to fraud prevention, transaction limits, and dispute-handling frameworks. Review emerging fraud trends and systemic vulnerabilities while guiding the company’s response and mitigation measures. Risk Reporting and Advisory Prepare and present periodic enterprise risk reports and recommendations to the CEO and Executive Board. Act as the primary point of contact with regulatory authorities, including the State Bank of Vietnam and NAPAS, as well as strategic banking and card partners, on risk and compliance matters. Advise management on the potential risk implications of strategic initiatives and regulatory changes. Leadership and Risk Culture Lead and develop the Risk and Fraud Management team, ensuring a clear organizational structure, defined accountability, and high performance standards. Promote a proactive and data-driven risk management culture throughout the organization. Drive continuous improvement and professional capability development within the risk management function. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Banking, Economics, Business, Information Systems, or a related field. A Master’s degree is preferred. At least 8–10 years of experience in risk management, compliance, or audit within the financial services or Fintech sector, including a minimum of 3 years in a leadership position. Strong knowledge of enterprise risk management frameworks, including ISO 31000 and Basel principles, as well as familiarity with State Bank of Vietnam regulations, ISO/IEC 27001, and PCI DSS. Demonstrated ability to develop and implement effective risk governance strategies. Excellent analytical, strategic thinking, and communication skills. Professional proficiency in English.
