Our job is to make the green travel choice the best choice. By building a better train travel experience, we help more people choose rail - creating a positive impact for customers, our business and the planet.

We’re a team of more than 1,000 Trainliners from over 50 nationalities, working across London, Paris, Barcelona, Milan, Edinburgh and Madrid. Now is a brilliant time to join us and help shape the future of travel.

Introducing the Trainline Finance Team 👋

At Trainline, our Finance team sits at the heart of the business, partnering across Commercial, Data, and Operations to ensure our revenue is recognised accurately, our billing processes run smoothly, and our financial insight supports confident decision-making. We're a collaborative, detail-driven team that values curiosity, rigour, and a genuine appetite for doing things better.

This Revenue Analyst role plays a central part in how we manage billing across Trainline's diverse and growing revenue streams, including advertising and partnerships. You'll act as a key connector across Commercial, Billing, and Finance, bringing clarity and structure to complex processes. As we invest in scalable, automated solutions, this is a role with real scope to shape how we operate and leave a lasting mark on our financial foundations.

In this role as the Revenue Analyst, you will...🚄

  • Manage and coordinate the end-to-end billing workflow across all non-rail revenue streams, acting as the primary interface between Commercial and Billing teams to ensure accurate processing from initial setup through to reconciliation and monthly billing

  • Maintain billing registers and supporting documentation across advertising, partnerships, and other revenue streams, and prepare monthly accruals and billing summary data for Management Accounts

  • Extract, validate, and analyse advertising impression data from Google Ad Manager and other platforms, performing monthly reconciliations between campaign delivery, insertion orders, and invoiced amounts

  • Collaborate with Ad Operations to track campaign progress, monitor the advertising pipeline, and ensure accurate billing of bespoke and international trading activity including kickbacks and commissions

  • Review commercial contracts for billing requirements, communicate relevant terms to the billing team, and support debt recovery and the resolution of client billing queries

  • Coordinate and facilitate billing reconciliations across revenue streams, liaising between teams to resolve discrepancies and maintain financial accuracy

  • Standardise billing inputs, pipeline visibility, and workflows across Commercial teams, identifying and driving operational efficiencies across Finance and Commercial Finance functions

  • Partner with the Billing, Credit and Accounts Receivable Manager and Finance Transformation team to develop and implement scalable, automated billing solutions that replace manual and fragmented processes

We'd love to hear from you if you have...🔍

  • A solid background in revenue operations, billing, finance operations, or a closely related field, with a strong track record of accuracy and ownership across financial processes

  • Excellent cross-functional communication and stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to work effectively across Commercial, Finance, and operational teams

  • Intermediate to strong Excel skills, including lookups, pivot tables, reconciliations, and data analysis

  • A sharp eye for detail and strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities independently in a fast-paced environment

  • A curious, improvement-focused mindset and a proactive approach to problem-solving and process optimisation

  • Ideally, experience with Google Ad Manager or similar ad revenue platforms, and familiarity with Salesforce or a comparable CRM tool

  • It would be helpful if you have experience supporting billing automation, Finance Ops, or revenue transformation projects

  • Ideally, some familiarity with AI tools such as ChatGPT or Claude, and a genuine interest in using them to improve efficiency and data workflows
