Retail Operations Support Specialist - Grocery

Job Description:

The key link between the Grocery internal teams and their Retail partners in the field, the role is integral in enabling us to meet our goals by enabling the translation of agreed customer strategies into actionable, measurable in-store activities. In doing so, the role will need to be an excellent communicator with strong program and project management skills and a high level of expertise in translating priorities into action. Success in this role will be achieved through:

• Supporting the alignment and driving of strategies that will best position the Grocery Retail team to deliver excellent in-store execution
• Working across enterprise and owning alignment with our Account, Shopper Marketing, Customer Marketing, Display & Equipment (D&E) and Category teams. 
• Partnering with their line manager and the Grocery Retail Directors to design and drive the appropriate measures and key performance indicators and analytics for all objectives
• Working end to end with the Grocery internal teams to maximize the potential and execution of all Retail programs and activities
• Driving relentless continuous improvement in designing, documenting, and embedding operational processes and enablers to deliver against operational imperatives, including owning all aspects of change management with the Grocery Retail team
• Facilitating ongoing discussions with Grocery Retail Director on business impact, KPI achievement and tracking to ensure understanding of Retail delivery and ongoing area of opportunity and continuous improvement
• Delivering complete and on-time communications for ad hoc requests to Grocery leadership (e.g., performance on sellthrough or speed to market)
• Owning establishment of process and timeline development for Grocery-specific sales materials needed for Retail execution (cycle plans, system set up, executional instructions, reporting and analytics)
• Collaborating across the broader Retail Strategy & Operations Team to represent Grocery on all key, cross-team initiatives, with a focus on continuous improvement and efficiency
• Delivering operational control within assigned D&E, surge, and incentive budgets. Support the D&E forecasting process for the Grocery Channel by forecasting channel-specific needs across D&E, Seasonal, Moments and Innovation
• Partnering with the Mars Snacking Retail Training Manager on the onboarding of Grocery Retail channel resources
• Completing special projects assigned by their line manager and Grocery Retail Directors

The base pay range for this position at commencement of employment is between the range listed below, however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including but not limited to job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position will include variable pay, medical and dental benefits, participation in 401k plan, and paid time off benefits. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an applicant receives an offer of employment.
