  1. Perform and document history & physical examination
  2. Formulate differential diagnosis*
  3. Develops and documents initial plan of care*
  4. Modifies daily plan of care*
  5. Inform nurse the change of plan
  6. Writes daily progress notes
  7. Obtain and document informed consent*
  8. Perform preoperative and post operative work up*
  9. Order appropriate referrals*
  10. Order appropriate investigations and follows up on results/reports*
  11. Interpret hemodynamic parameters in critically ill patients
  12. Interpret laboratory & radiology results
  13. Orders and oversees transfusions of blood and blood products*
  14. Order and administer appropriate medication and other orders as required*
  15. Prepare an appropriate discharge summary
  16. Communicate adequate written/verbal discharge instructions to inpatients
  1. Perform pelvic examination and Pap smear*
  2. Perform cardio-pulmonary resuscitation
  3. Orders, adjusts artificial feeding modalities
  1. Performs nasogastric intubation
  2. Inserts urethral catheter
  3. Inserts intravenous cannulation 
  4. Assist in surgical procedures*
  5. Conduct low risk vaginal deliveries *




 

  1. Reporting case reports case series and taking part in trials


  1. Presenting in National conferences posters or abstracts

*Trained / qualified designated staff (designee) to carry out duties and responsibilities required of the treating consultant under discussion /supervision/presence of Junior Consultant and above
