The potential Research Associate will develop and execute the ligand binding assay based bioanalytical method development to support pharmacokinetics (PK) sample analysis. In addition, the candidate will have opportunity to analyze high volume of data and to develop in vitro assays for compound characterization using ELISA, Octet, and cell-based assays. This position is hands-on and requires the effective experiment execution, communication, and documentation of results that enable the advancement of novel research molecules toward development candidates. Strong candidates will be hard working, efficient, collaborative, and passionate about drug discovery and development. Experience in ligand binding assay development and routine sample analysis is desired. This position will report directly to the Scientist of in vivo Pharmacology.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Identify, develop and execute ligand binding assays and other in vitro assays to support both in vivo and in vitro pharmacology studies.
- Proven track record of ligand binding assay development and participation of routine preclinical and/or clinical sample analysis. Execute assays from assay development, qualification (if required), sample analysis, data analysis, and report by following the instruction or established procedure.
- Analyze and present experimental data using Prism, Excel, MS Office or similar software.
- Produce detailed documentation of experiments within a lab notebook and electronically.
- Ability to schedule and prioritize workload effectively within a multi-task environment.
