Reinsurance Accountant II

Protective is seeking a Reinsurance Accounting Analyst II to join our Reinsurance Accounting team. This role is responsible for supporting the accounting and reporting activities for multiple coinsurance and reinsurance partners while ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial results. The position plays a key role in monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes through the preparation of journal entries, account reconciliations, settlement statements, and reporting packages.   The ideal candidate combines a strong accounting foundation with excellent analytical and communication skills. This individual will partner with internal business teams, external reinsurance partners, and auditors while contributing to process improvement and automation initiatives through tools such as SAP, Excel, Power Query, Power Automate, Power BI, and Microsoft Copilot.
