About this role

Overview

Manages the national military recruiting program to generate an ongoing intake of new Financial Representative candidates. Leads creative/cost-effective digital recruiting strategies within Agency Talent Acquisition (TA). Educates on the usage of social media tools to attract top talent. Assists in creating, implementing, and monitoring of recruitment strategies to attract diverse and multicultural talent. Works with minimal supervision and is responsible to make an established range of decisions, escalating to Manager when necessary and updates Manager on a regular basis.

Responsibilities

What you will do:
  • Trains and coaches field management and TA in the sourcing and attracting of candidates. Assists Field Managers in the building of sourcing plans as requested.
  • Develops and coordinates the military recruitment program. Develops contacts within the military community and related organizations to source candidates transitioning from the military or have served in the military. Attends military career fairs for recruiting and Company branding.
  • Manages the digital/social media employment brand and recruiting approach and executes agreed-upon strategy to include maintaining the Company's social media pages and profiles. Partners with internal writers and designers to build content for digital posts, etc. Collaborates with internal and external stakeholders to manage the employment brand and increase reach.
  • Assists in the creating, implementing and monitoring of recruitment strategies to attract diverse and multicultural talent.
  • Captures and tracks data and reports on trends and results to evaluate and build upon our social media and military talent acquisition efforts.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Complies with all policies and standards.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree In Human Resources or a related field or commensurate experience - Required
  • Typically five or more years of demonstrated experienced in successfully identifying and recruiting qualified candidates in a high volume recruiting environment. - Required
  • Demonstrated experience in building and implementing targeted recruitment plans to increase the flow of candidates. - Required
  • Demonstrated experience recruiting current and former military personnel and military spouses. - Preferred
  • Proven ability to creatively source candidates using internet and social media tools and resources as well as research new, creative opportunities to source candidates. - Required
  • Proven ability to coach others in how to creatively source candidates. - Preferred
  • Demonstrated familiarity with various performance metrics associated with recruitment (time to fill, cost per hire, quality of hire, etc.). - Required
  • Proven experience coordinating multiple projects, assignments or tasks simultaneously and completing assigned tasks accurately and on a timely basis. Must demonstrate strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills. Expected to cite examples of organization and time management methods used to manage or prioritize workload demands. - Required
  • Possess the skills to communicate with all levels of staff and management, build positive relationships and influence from a distance. - Preferred
  • Proven excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to convey information to internal and external customers in a clear, focused and concise manner. - Required
  • Demonstrated effective presentation skills for communication to senior sales management and field group as needed. - Preferred
  • Proven knowledge and awareness of applicable state/federal employment laws, such as Title VII, the ADA and “Ban the Box” laws. Ability to recognize whether any questions or concerns should be escalated to management for further guidance. - Required
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products. - Required
  • Professional in Human Resources (PHR)-HRCI - Preferred
  • SPHR or SHRM-SCP - Preferred
Work Setting/Position Demands:
  • Works in an office setting and remains in a stationary position for long periods of time while working at a desk, on a computer or with other standard office equipment, or while in meetings.
  • Requires the ability to verbally communicate and exchange accurate information to customers and associates on a regular basis.
  • Requires visual acuity to read and interpret a variety of correspondence, procedures, reports and forms via paper and electronic documents, visual inspection involving small defects; small parts, and/or operation of machinery (including inspection); using measurement devices continuously. Visual acuity is required to determine accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of work assigned.
  • Requires the ability to prepare written correspondence, reports and forms using prescribed formats and conforming to rules of punctuation, grammar, diction, and style on a regular basis.
  • Requires the ability to apply principles of logical thinking to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
  • Performs substantial movement of wrists, hands, and fingers for continuous computer work.
  • Extended hours required during peak workloads or special projects/events.

  • Ability to travel as needed.
