What You'll Do
As a Referral Coordinator at OrthoAtlanta, you’ll:
- Prioritize and schedule referrals based on urgency, ensuring timely follow-up and seamless handoffs to specialists and providers
- Accurately collect and enter demographic, insurance, and clinical information into the EMR to support referral processes
- Verify insurance benefits, contact payers for pre-authorization, and communicate clinical details when necessary to establish medical necessity
- Explain referral expectations, co-pays, or deductibles, and answer questions to ensure patients are informed and prepared
- Build strong relationships with referral offices, community providers, and internal teams to support smooth transitions of care
- Serve as a go-to contact for staff regarding authorizations, procedural codes, and insurance requirements

What You’ll Need
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a medical office or clinical environment
- Knowledge of insurance plans and verification procedures
- Customer service experience in a patient-facing role
- Familiarity with medical terminology (preferred)
- Experience using Epic EMR system (preferred)
- Strong organizational, multitasking, and time management skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Discretion and professionalism in handling patient information

Radiology Referral Coordinator
Location: Atlanta, GA
Schedule: Full-time Hourly, OnSite, Monday to Friday 8:00AM to 5:00PM
