We are seeking a dynamic and highly motivated Quality Assurance Engineer to join our growing tech hub in Pakistan. We are looking for someone with 3+ years of relevant QA experience to support the development and delivery of our Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) solutions.

A key requirement for this role is hands-on experience in UI and API test automation, with a strong focus on improving product quality and reducing regression testing cycle times.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, execute, and maintain test cases for web and mobile-based applications.
  • Perform UI and API testing, including automated testing to improve test coverage and reduce regression cycle times.
  • Test APIs using Postman or similar API testing tools.
  • Participate in specification reviews, test planning, test case creation and execution, defect reporting, and defect verification.
  • Review Software Requirements Specification (SRS) documents and process models to identify testing requirements and potential gaps.
  • Perform different types of testing, including Functional, Integration, System, Compatibility, Regression, Smoke/Sanity, and Ad-hoc Testing.
  • Test client/server applications across relevant platforms and environments.
  • Identify, document, track, and verify defects throughout the defect lifecycle.
  • Collaborate with developers, product teams, and other stakeholders to ensure product quality throughout the development lifecycle.
  • Participate in QA/Test strategy, release management, and continuous improvement of testing processes.
  • Develop and maintain automated test scripts for UI and API testing.
  • Participate actively in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and development processes.
  • Use SQL queries to validate data and support testing activities.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of relevant experience in Quality Assurance / Software Testing.
  • Hands-on experience testing web and mobile-based applications.
  • Strong experience in API testing using Postman or similar tools.
  • Hands-on experience with UI automation using Selenium or similar automation tools.
  • Experience with API test automation and building or maintaining automated test cases.
  • Good understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), QA/Test strategy, defect lifecycle, and release management processes.
  • Strong knowledge of testing types, including Functional, Integration, System, Compatibility, Regression, Smoke/Sanity, and Ad-hoc Testing.
  • Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment.
  • Experience using defect tracking tools such as Jira, TFS, or similar platforms.
  • Ability to write and execute SQL queries for data validation and testing.
  • Experience reviewing SRS documents, specifications, and process models from a QA perspective.
  • Experience designing and maintaining automated regression test suites is preferred.
  • Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and integrating automated tests into deployment workflows is a plus.
  • Previous software development experience would be an advantage.
  • Experience testing IoT, IIoT, manufacturing, or data-driven platforms would be a plus.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively within a collaborative team environment.
