Quality and Compliance Manager
About this role
We are looking for an experienced Quality and Compliance Manager to join Saab Technologies Poland and take responsibility for the company’s quality management framework, certification requirements and ethical standards in a highly regulated defence industry environment.
The role combines ownership of the Quality Management System and certification processes with responsibility for promoting a strong culture of integrity, ethical business conduct and compliance across the organisation.
Your place of work will be company’s HQ in Warsaw (city centre).
This position is an office-based position, with remote work possible in exceptional cases.
Responsibilities:
- Own and continuously develop the company’s Quality Management System and related processes.
- Lead the implementation, maintenance and certification of management systems and standards required for the company’s operations, including ISO 9001, AQAP and other applicable standards.
- Coordinate certification, recertification and surveillance audits, including cooperation with certification bodies and external auditors.
- Ensure compliance with applicable customer, contractual, regulatory and defence industry quality requirements.
- Maintain quality documentation, records, and objective evidence required for audits and customer acceptance.
- Minimize the risk of non-compliance, product rejection, project delays, contractual penalties, and increased cost resulting from poor quality.
- Manage internal and external audits, quality findings, non-conformities, corrective actions and compliance-related issues.
- Safeguard the company's reputation and support successful customer and regulatory assessments.
- Develop and maintain the company’s Ethics & Compliance framework and related policies and procedures.
- Ensure that policies, procedures and controls remain effective, current and aligned with applicable requirements.
- Promote a culture of integrity, responsible business conduct and ethical decision-making throughout the organisation.
- Oversee key ethics and compliance areas, including conflicts of interest, anti-bribery and corruption, whistleblowing and investigations.
- Provide advice and guidance to management and employees on ethical and compliance matters.
- Cooperate closely with Compliance, Security and other functions.
- Act as a key point of contact for auditors, certification bodies, customers and other relevant stakeholders.
Your profile:
- University degree.
- Several years of experience in Quality Management, Ethics & Compliance or a related function, preferably within the defence, aerospace, manufacturing or another highly regulated industry.
- Proven experience with management systems and certification processes.
- Strong knowledge of ISO 9001 and experience with AQAP and/or other defence industry standards.
- Practical understanding of business ethics, anti-bribery and corruption, whistleblowing, conflicts of interest and compliance risk management.
- Experience in audit management, investigations and corrective action processes.
- Strong understanding of governance, risk and internal control frameworks.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, including the ability to advise senior management.
- High level of integrity, independence and professional judgement.
- Excellent communication skills in Polish and English, both written and spoken, with the ability to communicate complex information clearly and effectively.
As Personnel Security Clearance is required for this role, applicants shall already hold or have the ability to obtain one.
Selected applicants will be subject to a security vetting and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information, including providing a certificate of no criminal record issued by the Polish National Criminal Register.
