About this role

*This is a hybrid role open to candidates based in the Greater Vancouver area.*


We’re looking for a QA Analyst to join our team and be part of our next stage of growth. As our QA Analyst, you will work with development in a cross functional team, directing testing efforts across both our Salesforce platform and our modern, cloud-native products. You'll drive quality upstream (shift-left), leverage the best tooling available, and partner with the team to ship high quality software continuously.

Skills

Traction Rec’rs come from a variety of backgrounds, and we are eager to find people that are from diverse backgrounds. For this role, you might have: 


  • 3+ years of professional experience in a QA role
  • Accuracy and excellent attention to detail, you catch things
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Technically minded with the ability to quickly learn new systems
  • Experience in defining new QA processes to continuously improve the team
  • Personable and empathetic, you will need to understand and feel for our customers
  • Bonus points if:
    • You have experience writing automation tests for modern web applications (e.g. Playwrite) and integrating them into CI/CD pipelines
    • You’ve tested AI-powered features or agents, or used AI tooling to make yourself and the team more efficient
    • You’ve worked in nonprofit or community centers
    • You’re a results oriented person who likes to roll up their sleeves to get things done
    • You’re energized by continuously delivering value to customers


What You Will Be Doing

  • Work with the Product team to validate requirements and product solutions, finding gaps that others have missed and to identify areas of high impact if automated testing were introduced
  • Define test scenarios with the Development and Product teams, planning test suites before code is written
  • Work alongside Development daily to provide quality insights, direct testing, and keep on top of incoming changes
  • Enable our team to ship daily, with confidence and high quality
  • Manual and exploratory QA on new features, enhancements, and bug fixes
  • Helping the wider team in determining standards and processes
  • Create documentation of application changes, configuration, or known issues


Compensation

At Traction Rec, we are committed to a fair, market-based and equitable compensation structure. Our market data is refreshed on an annual basis to reflect the most current market conditions.


The starting salary band for this role is $75,000-$85,000. Starting salaries will vary within this range based on experience, skill level, and internal equity related to the role.
