About this role

Procurement Process


a. Identifying and evaluating potential suppliers, conducting market analysis to find the best value for goods and services.

b. Negotiating contract terms with suppliers, including price, quality, delivery timelines, and payment terms.

c. Developing and implementing procurement strategies aligned with business objectives, including cost reduction initiatives.

d. Managing the tender process, evaluating bids, and selecting the most suitable suppliers.

e. Monitoring spending patterns, identifying cost-saving opportunities, and managing procurement budgets.

f. Assessing potential risks associated with suppliers and mitigating them through contract terms and contingency planning.

g. Submits needed and required reports punctually.

h. Ensuring adherence to company procurement policies, legal regulations, and ethical standards.

i. Tracking supplier performance against key metrics like quality, delivery time, and cost.

j. Leading and developing a team of procurement professionals.

k. Ensures subordinate follow Safety requirements.

l. Ensures that all personnel exercise 5S in their area and workstation.

m. Continuously supports the compliance of both DPI's Quality and Environment, Health and Safety Management System policies and procedures.

n. Handle/assist PEZA and BOC implications.

o. Ensure data in ERP system is up to date.

2. Uses office application software’s (word processor, spreadsheet, e-mail, presentation, scheduling), in the performance of daily works and activities.

3. Can understand and interpret technical drawings.

4. Ability to negotiate favorable terms with suppliers to achieve cost savings.

5. Analyzing data to identify trends and make informed procurement decisions.

6. Understanding industry trends and supplier landscape.

7. Effectively communicating with stakeholders across different departments and suppliers.

8. Managing complex procurement projects from initiation to completion.

9. Understanding financial implications of procurement decisions and managing budgets.

10. Demonstrates professionalism, both in dealing with the public and co-workers.

11. Involves others in the task; builds on other people's ideas/actions.
