About the role

We are seeking an experienced, compassionate, and team-oriented Lead Psychiatrist for our Illinois clinics, with at least 2 years of experience practicing as a licensed psychiatrist in Illinois. This role is well suited to those interested in developing (1) their clinical toolkit beyond traditional medications and psychotherapy and (2) their skills as a clinical leader in a dynamic, innovative organization. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct initial evaluations and follow-up visits per accepted practice standards
  • Develop and implement treatment plans in accordance with evidence-based clinical practice guidelines and protocols
  • Build and manage a panel of patients for whom you are the primary psychopharmacologist
  • Administer, and supervise the administration of, interventional services such as Spravato, IV ketamine, and TMS
  • Monitor the effectiveness of therapeutic interventions using validated instruments and allow this to shape treatment planning
  • Support NP’s and PA’s in a primary supervisory role
  • Support associate therapists in a secondary supervisory role
  • Hold oneself and clinical team accountable to protocols and practice approaches in accordance with organizational goals
  • Serve as investigator in clinical trials (involving both psychedelic and non-psychedelic agents)
  • Maintain continuing educational requirements necessary for licensure and certifications
  • Complete in a timely manner documentation of clinical care that is appropriately detailed, comprehensive, and compliant with relevant standards and regulations
  • Be accountable to expectations of productivity in clinical, supervisory, and administrative duties
  • Maintain high level of professionalism in relationships with patients and staff

Qualifications

  • Current License in IL as MD or DO
  • Minimum of 2 years experience post-residency
  • Illinois state Controlled Substance License (schedules II through V)
  • Federal DEA Controlled Substance License (schedules II through V)
  • BLS Certification for Healthcare Providers
  • Ability to both collaborate effectively with members of an interdisciplinary care team and lead clinical staff in dynamic initiatives
  • Ability to tackle new problems and prioritize tasks in a complex practice environment
  • Previous experience in an outpatient setting
  • Experience with TMS and ketamine/esketamine preferred
  • Able to pass a comprehensive background check, including educational requirements and licensing
  • Competitive Base salary plus variable bonus plan
