JOB OVERVIEW

Under the supervision of the Protection Case Management Manager (Rule of Law), the Protection Supervisor provides technical supervision, quality assurance, coaching, mentoring, field support, and capacity strengthening for Protection Case Management services delivered by IRC and partner organizations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide regular individual supervision and technical support throughout the case management process.
  • Conduct reflective supervision, mentoring, and coaching.
  • Review case files in PCMIMS+ and approve case closures.
  • Support complex and high-risk cases, including case conferences and safety planning.
  • Monitor caseloads and recommend redistribution where necessary.
  • Support partner organizations through mentoring, supervision, trainings, and field coaching.
  • Conduct field visits, shadowing, and provide practical feedback.
  • Monitor data quality and prepare supervision reports.
  • Collaborate with the Protection Case Management Manager and contribute to SOP and tool improvement.
  • Promote staff wellbeing and professional development.
  • Share information with communities, facilitate participation, and support feedback mechanisms in line with IRC AAP commitments.
  • Promote safeguarding, duty of care, and IRC values.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Education: Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Law, Human Rights, International Development or related field. Master's degree is an advantage.

Experience: Minimum 3 years of relevant Protection Case Management experience; experience in supervision, mentoring or coaching; humanitarian protection experience; partner capacity strengthening and training experience are assets.

Demonstrated Skills and Competencies: Strong knowledge of Protection Case Management, supervision, referral pathways, safeguarding, confidentiality, data protection, Microsoft Office, Teams, SharePoint, and digital case management systems (PCMIMS+, Primero, CommCare). Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and leadership skills. Fluency in Ukrainian required; working knowledge of English is an advantage.

REPORTING STRUCTURE AND TEAM COLLABORATION

Reports to the Protection Case Management Manager (Rule of Law) and works closely with the Protection Coordinator, Field Protection Managers, IRC and partner caseworkers, Senior PCMIMS+ Officer, MEAL team, and other programme and operational departments.

WORK ENVIRONMENT AND OTHER RELEVANT INFORMATION

  • This role requires full-time work in the office
  • Travel to other locations is needed up to 30% of time
  • Exempt from overtime
  • Sometimes work on weekends may be required
  • Work in the matrix organization
