ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager with a positive track record able to coordinate internal and external resources to support fulfilment of utility scale SCADA projects (projects covering region: Spain, Portugal, rest of west Europe, and Latin America). The Project Manager will coordinate with sales staff, technical managers, support personnel, suppliers, clients and other stakeholders to manage fulfillment of Powerfactor’s utility scale projects. The Project Manager’s primary responsibility is to oversee projects from sales through commissioning, ensure successful handoffs between cross-functional teams and serve as the primary client interface for SCADA systems for Renewable Energy Sources. The successful applicant will work collaboratively with local team members, as well as interact on a regular basis with other company resources, experts and management located in other parts of the world. This is achieved through the candidate’s natural collaborative spirit, tactical communications, prompt and timely execution of deliverables and is measured by the customer experiences from their interactions and business cooperation.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Coordinate and enforce SCADA project execution plans, from sales to commissioning
  • Own project timelines, deliverables, invoicing milestones, and closure
  • Maintain daily client communication and ensure timely follow-up on requests
  • Adopt and enforce company processes and project/task management tools
  • Collaborate with clients to define and clarify scope, deliverables, and milestones
  • Maintain and update project plans, with a focus on billing and timelines
  • Work closely with technical managers, engineers, subcontractors, and regional stakeholders
  • Plan and monitor internal workflows and resource allocations
  • Oversee handoffs to support teams and evaluate project outcomes
  • Define scope of work, develop statements of work, task breakdowns, and milestone plans
  • Coordinate comprehensive and accurate project documentation
  • Participate in coordination meetings, presenting status updates and resolving issues
  • Identify project risks, assumptions, and constraints, and develop mitigation plans
  • Identify and manage out-of-scope tasks, and lead change order execution
  • Ensure quality assurance across all project deliverables
  • Enforce HSE (Health, Safety, and Environmental) standards when teams are onsite

Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical, Automation, or Power Engineering (or related field)
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar project management role
  • Background in renewable energy, power systems, or SCADA integration
  • Deep understanding of power grids and renewable infrastructure
  • Proven ability to manage competing priorities and complex project portfolios
  • Strong project management skills and familiarity with formal methodologies
  • Hands-on experience delivering projects on time and within scope
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Project, Jira, and Google Workspace tools
  • Comfortable interfacing with various levels of client engineering and leadership teams
  • Excellent communication skills in English (verbal and written); additional languages are a plus
