Job Title: Localization Project Manager

REMOTE WORK: Candidates must be based near Tokyo in Japan and be proficient as Japanese Linguist

Position Overview 

Reporting to the Sr. Project Manager, the Project Manager is accountable for planning, monitoring and controlling all aspects of projects from existing and new clients and coordinating with all the stakeholders, to achieve the project objectives on time and to the specified cost, quality and performance. 

Role & Responsibilities 

  • Owning the project from initial planning to delivery. Manage the entire life cycle of projects to achieve highest level of client satisfaction, quality, and efficiency. 
  • Work in coordination with the Sales Managers for existing & New clients; provide inputs on project feasibility/workarounds. 
  • Co-ordinate/communicate with the clients throughout the duration of the projects in a timely manner and update them on the exact status. 
  • Checking and reviewing the instruction list that is given to Internal & External resources. 
  • Ensure highest quality level of work by following & applying a strict quality control process for all jobs before delivered to the client. 
  • Ensure client is satisfied with Quality & Timely service. 
  • Successful management of Project Budgets (Operating Profitability). 
  • Closely monitor the progress of production at each stage of the process; prioritizing tasks while handling multiple projects simultaneously. 
  • On- time completion of projects leading to On-Time Billing. 
  • Troubleshooting issues/concerns as needed. 
  • Documentation and Reporting - Update TMS, Status to client and internal customer, Project status reports. 

Qualifications: 

  • Any graduate degree 
  • Prior experience in Project Management 
  • At least 5 years’ experience in the relevant industry - Localization
  • Experience in working with industry and project specific tools (PMS, CAT, Data tools) 
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office  
  • Excellent English and Japanese written and spoken skills 
  • Effective listener and communicator 
  • Capable to multi-task and be flexible 
  • Inclined towards self-development and continuous learning
