Exciting Opportunity at MSK: Project Manager – Hospital (Strategic Access, Capital and Capacity Management)

The Project Manager – Hospital (Strategic Access, Capital and Capacity Management) plays a critical role in advancing enterprise-wide initiatives that optimize patient access, operational capacity, and capital investments to support MSK’s continued growth and strategic priorities. 

Role Overview 

  • Lead complex, cross-functional projects focused on strategic access, capacity planning, capital initiatives, and operational transformation across the health system. 

  • Develop and manage comprehensive project plans, including scope, timelines, milestones, risks, dependencies, and resource requirements. 

  • Partner with clinical, operational, administrative, and executive stakeholders to define project objectives and achieve organizational goals. 

  • Support strategic planning efforts related to patient access, facility utilization, care delivery expansion, and capacity optimization. 

  • Analyze operational, financial, and capacity-related data to identify opportunities for improved performance and informed decision-making. 

  • Facilitate project governance meetings, provide status updates, and ensure alignment with organizational priorities. 

  • Coordinate implementation activities, monitor progress, and drive accountability for project deliverables and outcomes. 

  • Identify and mitigate project risks, barriers, and change management challenges while maintaining stakeholder engagement. 

  • Develop presentations, reports, and recommendations for senior leadership to support business planning and capital investment decisions. 

Key Qualifications 

  • 5+ years of progressive project management experience within healthcare, hospital operations, strategic planning, consulting, or related environments. 

  • Demonstrated experience leading large-scale, cross-functional initiatives involving multiple stakeholders and competing priorities. 

  • Strong analytical experience utilizing operational, financial, and performance data to support strategic decision-making. 

  • Project Management Professional (PMP), Lean Six Sigma, or other project management/process improvement certification preferred.

  • Strategic thinking with the ability to translate organizational priorities into actionable project plans and measurable outcomes. 

  • Exceptional stakeholder management and relationship-building skills across all levels of the organization. 

  • Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to influence decisions and drive alignment. 

  • Advanced problem-solving, organizational, and critical thinking capabilities in complex healthcare environments. 

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously while demonstrating adaptability, accountability, and attention to detail. 

 

Additional Information:  

 

  • Schedule:  9:00 AM – 5:00 PM EST, Monday - Friday 

  • Location: Hybrid; Primarily remote with flexibility to come on site to meet stakeholders as needed; NYC 

  • Reporting To: SVP, Patient Access, Care Delivery and Experience

Pay Range: $92,700.00 - $148,400.00
