Job Description

Sysco (whose UK operating companies include Brakes, Fresh Direct, KFF & Medina) is recruiting for a Project Manager to join the Commercial Technology team on a full-time, permanent basis. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced project professional to lead the delivery of strategic technology initiatives that support our Commercial Sales & Service function, helping to drive business transformation across the UK and Europe.

This role offers hybrid working 3 days per week at our Hemel Hempstead or Ashford, Kent, office, with occasional European travel required. You will work closely with a wide range of stakeholders, including business sponsors, technology teams, third-party partners and senior leaders, ensuring projects are delivered successfully and aligned to business objectives. It is highly advantageous to be fluent in French.

In this varied role, you will be responsible for leading projects through the full delivery lifecycle, from supporting business case development and defining project scope through to implementation and successful transition into business-as-usual operations. You will manage project plans, budgets, resources and timelines, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget and in line with agreed quality standards. You will also be responsible for stakeholder communications, governance compliance, risk and issue management, and change control, ensuring delivery remains aligned to business priorities and strategic goals.

We're looking for someone with a proven track record of delivering complex technology projects within fast-paced environments. You will ideally have experience managing multiple workstreams, third-party vendors and matrix teams, with the ability to balance competing priorities while maintaining focus on project outcomes. Strong stakeholder management skills are essential, along with the confidence to engage and influence colleagues at all levels of the organisation, including Executive stakeholders.

Experience delivering projects using both Agile and Waterfall methodologies would be highly beneficial, as would knowledge of change management practices and risk mitigation. Exposure to Contact Centre technologies, Omnichannel solutions and large-scale technology deployments across multiple locations or markets would be advantageous. A technical background and experience working within regulated or compliance-driven environments, including SOX controls, would also be beneficial.

Most importantly, you will demonstrate excellent organisational, communication and leadership skills, with a proactive approach to problem solving and delivering results. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to work on high-profile technology initiatives, partnering with business and technology leaders across Europe while developing your career within a global organisation.
