Job Description

We are constantly growing and are currently looking for Civil Engineers with expertise in Geotechnical, Structural, Hydraulics, or Marine/Coastal engineering to join our Infrastructure Project Engineering team in Athens. If you are a motivated and inspired professional with a  track record in infrastructure design and exposure in project management, we would like to hear from you.

Based in our Athens office, you will be working on Engineering covering  the full lifecycle of Marine, Infrastructure, and Industrial mega-projects; from concept studies and FEED to detailed design and construction support. You will deliver high-quality designs within your discipline, or undertake design reviews, while coordinating with multidisciplinary teams and external consultants to ensure integrated, constructible engineering packages.

What you will need to do:

  • Undertake and perform engineering design tasks, including engineering analysis, preparation of drawings and drafting technical notes and calculation notes pertinent to your Engineering discipline.
  • Coordinate with members of other engineering disciplines for developing integral and seamless engineering solutions, for project proposal (tender) or project implementation phases. Strive for design optimization and undertake value engineering exercises, working in close collaboration with the rest of the project team.
  • Review engineering deliverables provided by third parties (engineering subcontractors) pertaining to your engineering discipline, but also general civil engineering drawings and documents, to ensure compliance with project specs, codes and standards with due consideration of constructability requirements.
  • Organize, contribute, and prepare notes and PowerPoint presentations for multidisciplinary meetings and workshops to communicate and coordinate engineering concepts and designs.
  • Develop engineering scoping documents for complex multidisciplinary projects and translate the project scope into clear engineering deliverables, work packages, activities and interfaces as part of the engineering management process.

Qualifications

  • BE, Dipl.Eng, or equivalent in Civil Engineering, and preferably an MSc, in relevant Engineering discipline.
  • Minimum three (3) years of engineering experience in the design of infrastructure projects, such as roads, railways, ports, dams and industrial facilities, and/or major building projects. Experience in project engineering management will be considered an advantage.
  • Strong engineering background (including analytical skills) in your Engineering discipline.
  • Good command of analysis tools pertinent to your discipline (Structural, Geotechnical, Marine etc.) as well as AutoCAD and Office software.
  • Work experience in an international environment will constitute an important advantage.
  • Familiarization with construction operations and awareness of construction technology is a plus.
  • Mobility is desirable, as it might be required to participate in working teams at Archirodon project home offices throughout the countries that Archirodon executes EPC projects. However, candidate’s base will be our headquarters in Athens.
  • Excellent command (written and oral) of English language.

Additional Information
