About this role

As a Project Engineer I here at Honeywell Aerospace, you will help coordinate and communicate with cross-functional teams, fostering collaboration and ensuring effective project coordination. Your monitoring of project progress and adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards will help maintain project efficiency and deliver high-quality results. Your ability to prepare and present project status reports to stakeholders will enhance transparency and enable informed decision-making. Your project management skills will inspire and motivate the team, driving a culture of innovation, efficiency, and excellence.

You will report directly to our Sr. Engineering Manager, and you’ll work out of our Phoenix, Arizona location on a hybrid work schedule.

Hybrid Work Schedule Note: For the first 90 days, New Hires must be prepared to work 100% onsite M-F.

In this role, you will have an impact by ensuring the successful execution and delivery of engineering projects, driving operational excellence, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.

  • Support and manage engineering projects from initiation to completion as it pertains to engineering hardware for new product development.
  • Help define project scope, objectives, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders as it pertains to engineering hardware
  • Develop and implement project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation
  • Coordinate and communicate with cross-functional teams to ensure project success
  • Monitor project progress and ensure adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards
  • Identify and mitigate risks and issues that may impact project delivery
  • Provide technical guidance and support to project team members throughout the development program procurement process
  • Prepare and present project status reports to stakeholders

YOU MUST HAVE

  • 1 year experience in Project Engineering 
  • Strong time and project management skills with the ability to coordinate cross-functional teams
  • Ability to learn project management tools and methodologies, and experience in risk management and problem-solving
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as science, technology, engineering, mathematics
