Te whiwhinga mahi: The opportunity

Join our Waikato team as our new Programme Support, where you'll play a pivotal part in supporting the delivery of a range of primary healthcare programmes and services across the region.


In this role, you'll provide programme coordination, operational support, data management, and stakeholder engagement to ensure high-quality, accessible, and integrated health services are delivered effectively to patients, whānau, healthcare providers, and communities. You'll act as a central point of coordination, supporting general practices, contracted providers, and clinical teams through efficient programme administration, claims management, reporting, and communication.


You'll manage programme databases and reporting systems, coordinate provider onboarding and ongoing programme requirements, support contract reporting obligations, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that strengthen service delivery and outcomes.


The ideal candidate is highly organised, customer-focused, and proactive, with strong administrative skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to build positive working relationships across a range of stakeholders.

This role is fixed-term for 12-months.

He kōrero mōu: About you

  • Previous administration and/or customer service experience.
    • Experience working with multiple digital systems, databases, and reporting tools.
    • Strong Microsoft Office skills, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
    • Excellent organisational skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
    • A professional and customer-focused approach with excellent people skills.
    • Ability to maintain confidentiality and manage sensitive information.
    • Sound analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to use initiative.
    • Experience working within community and/or primary healthcare environments (desirable).
    • Experience with patient management systems such as MedTech or Indici (desirable).
    • Understanding and relevant knowledge of Te Tiriti o Waitangi.
    • Current full New Zealand driver's licence.
