Who we are looking for

We're searching for a Program Lead – Finance to lead our Finance Operations pod within the Workday SOS team, based in Buenos Aires. This is a role for someone who is genuinely motivated by coordinating and developing people — who finds purpose in building a team, guiding junior profiles, and creating the conditions for others to grow and do their best work. You are a leader who acts from proximity, possesses the patience to explain and teach, and finds real satisfaction in seeing your team develop. Acting as the main point of reference for the pod's day-to-day operations, you will directly coordinate 2 Project Managers and a team of Client Finance Analysts (CFAs) while serving as the primary financial escalation point for our North American leadership.

What you’ll do

  • People Coordination & Team Development: Coordinate and support the day-to-day work of 2 Project Managers and the CFA team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Mentorship & Guidance: Act as a patient, approachable mentor and guide for junior profiles, creating a supportive learning environment where team members feel empowered to ask questions, make decisions, and develop their own criteria.
  • Strategic Process Leadership: Proactively identify process gaps, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement, collaborating closely with Finance Portfolio Leads and other key stakeholders.
  • Reporting & Data Analysis: Drive the development and standardization of financial reporting mechanisms, transforming raw data into meaningful reports and dashboards that support strategic decision-making.
  • Process Alignment: Work closely with the Program Lead – Operations to align, standardize, and streamline shared processes across different operational pods.
  • Stakeholder Engagement & Escalation: Serve as the primary escalation point for North American Finance Portfolio Leads regarding financial matters, building strong, influential relationships to ensure needs are met.
  • AI Championing: Actively encourage and model the daily adoption of AI tools within the team, promoting AI as a key support and productivity resource.

What you’ll need

  • People Coordination Experience: Proven experience in a leadership role or as a senior team member responsible for guiding and developing others, especially junior profiles.
  • Mentor Mentality: Patience, a genuine enjoyment of explaining complex concepts, and the ability to make financial topics accessible and easy to understand.
  • Strong Communicator: Highly organized, clear, and comfortable managing multiple stakeholders across different seniority levels.
  • Calm Under Pressure: Excellent judgment and composure, with the ability to handle challenging situations and know exactly when and how to escalate.
  • Fluent English Level: Exceptional written and spoken English, as the role requires daily collaboration with North American stakeholders during their afternoon window.
  • Tool Proficiency: Strong comfort with project management tools (such as Jira, Microsoft Project, or similar) and a willingness to actively use and promote AI tools as part of the daily workflow.
  • Finance Understanding (Nice to have): Solid grasp of finance or accounting principles (budgeting, reporting, billing); direct experience in a finance or accounting environment is a plus.
  • Educational Background (Nice to have): Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Project Management, or a related field.
  • System Knowledge (Nice to have): Direct experience or knowledge working with Workday and/or SAP.
  • Cross-Cultural Experience (Nice to have): Experience working with remote, cross-border, or cross-cultural teams.

We believe the best work happens when we're together, fostering creativity, collaboration, and connection. That's why we’ve adopted a hybrid approach, with teams in the office an average of four days a week. If you require accommodations or flexibility, please discuss this with the hiring team during the interview process.
