Vultr is seeking an experienced Product Specialist Public Sector Sovereign Cloud (FedRAMP) to spearhead our FedRAMP authorization journey and broader international sovereign cloud strategy. The ideal candidate will be the primary architect of Vultr’s public sector cloud product roadmap by ensuring our infrastructure supporting the global public sector meets customer product requirements. This is a highly visible role in a high-growth technology company, which will require you to bridge the gap between complex federal security controls and scalable engineering execution. You will ensure that every feature we launch not only delights customers but also adheres to the strict "High," "Moderate," or "Tailored" baselines necessary for agency adoption. Key Responsibilities

  • Identify products or programs through the FedRAMP (Joint Authorization Board or Agency) authorization process

  • Public Sector Cloud: Identifying secure scalable solutions tailored for US Federal agencies or highly regulated sovereign entities.

  • Ability to ensure product engineering solutions align to and meet NIST SP 800-53, FIPS requirements, and the FedRAMP Continuous Monitoring (ConMon) framework.

  • Problem Solving: Ability to transform customer requirements into innovative technical solutions that meet strict regulatory mandates without sacrificing platform performance or usability

  • Collaborate with the Program Manager Public Sector Compliance to define strategic roadmaps and support full product lifecycle

  • Provide product architectural guidance for Vultr's public sector cloud product roadmap

  • Public Sector Go-To-Market Strategy: Partnering with sales and marketing to support RFPs and Briefings with tailored value propositions for government customers.

  • Customer & Market Requirements Management: Prioritizing needs from government agencies and system integrators into actionable product requirement documents (PRDs).

Qualifications

  • 1 to 3 years of experience specifically managing products within the FedRAMP, GovRAMP, or IL4/IL5 ecosystem.

  • Technical Proficiency: Strong familiarity with cloud security architecture, zero-trust principles, and automated compliance tooling.

  • Communication: Ability to translate "Gov-speak" and security requirements into clear technical specifications for developers

  • Experience as a customer advocate for features that specifically solve government pain points, such as Identity and Access Management (IAM) integrations for PIV/CAC cards or specialized storage for CJIS/ITAR data

  • Experience in ensuring ensuring that the product roadmap includes offline documentation, local API mirrors, and manual update mechanisms that Sovereign Cloud customers require to maintain their digital sovereignty

Compensation

$90,000- 120,000

Final compensation will vary depending on years of experience, background/skill set, location, and applicable laws.

This is a fully remote position with potential to travel up to 25%.
