We're looking for a platform product owner who can drive the evolution of a Unified Communications Platform spanning voice, SMS, WhatsApp and email. The ideal candidate will have strong API-platform experience, communications domain expertise, and a proven track record of consolidating complex technology estates into scalable shared services while driving adoption across multiple product teams… someone who can operate at the intersection of platform product management, communications technology, and enterprise integration.

Skills / Knowledge & Experience

  • Proven experience managing communication platforms rather than individual customer-facing applications.
  • Strong understanding of SMS, email, WhatsApp, Telephony, VoiceAI and contact centre technologies.
  • Experience building Shared Services software capabilities - build once, deliver to many applications to power key comms capabilities
  • Comfortable owning products that are both customer-facing and platform/infrastructure-oriented.
  • Experience consolidating legacy systems, vendors, or integrations into a single strategic platform.

    • Technical and domain expertise

  • Understanding of communications ecosystems such as Twilio or similar providers.
  • Experience with messaging channels including SMS, WhatsApp Business, email, RCS, and voice.
  • Familiarity with API design, event-driven architectures, integration platforms, and cloud-native services.
  • Knowledge of communications compliance, consent management, GDPR, deliverability, and audit requirements.
  • Appreciation of AI-enabled communications, automation, orchestration, and conversational experiences.

Product leadership capabilities

  • Ability to create and communicate a compelling roadmap.
  • Experienced in influencing multiple product teams to consume shared services rather than building point solutions.
  • Strong stakeholder management across Product, Engineering, Architecture, Operations, Commercial, and Professional Services.
  • Data-driven decision maker who can balance customer value, platform reusability, and operational efficiency.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead large-scale migrations and decommission legacy platforms.

Must Have

  • 5+ years in Product Management with experience in communications, platform, or integration products.
  • Track record delivering API or platform products at scale.
  • Experience working with cloud communications providers and messaging ecosystems.
  • Strong commercial and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience leading product strategy, roadmap development, and cross-functional delivery.

Nice-to-have

  • CPaaS, telecoms, UCaaS, contact centre, or messaging platform background.
  • Experience with AI-powered communications or conversational platforms.
  • Knowledge of automotive retail technology.
  • Experience migrating customers from legacy communication platforms to a unified service model.
