Product Owner - Generative AI

We are looking for a Product Owner to join a development initiative focused on generative AI within a large public sector organisation. In this role, you will help build a shared, secure, and scalable foundation for AI development, including a standardised AI platform for governance, security, lifecycle management, and business-facing AI applications.

You will work closely with business stakeholders, development teams, and security specialists to translate business needs into clear requirements, coordinate delivery, and support the safe and effective rollout of generative AI capabilities.

• Translate business needs into requirements and development priorities for generative AI initiatives
• Coordinate and prioritise backlog items across cross-functional development teams
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, architects, and security specialists throughout the initiative
• Drive Agile product development using Scrum, SAFe, or similar frameworks
• Support governance, security, and lifecycle management of AI-driven applications
• Analyse, structure, and synthesise large volumes of information to support decision-making and planning
• Facilitate planning sessions, backlog refinement, and stakeholder workshops
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of team ways of working
• Ensure development aligns with business objectives and platform standards

• Minimum 4 years of experience in a leading role within IT, such as team lead or project manager
• Minimum 4 years of experience working in Agile, cross-functional development teams
• Minimum 4 years of experience with Agile frameworks (Scrum, SAFe, or similar)
• Minimum 4 years of experience analysing, structuring, and synthesising large volumes of information for decision-making, planning, or follow-up
• Demonstrable experience from at least one completed assignment where AI or generative AI was applied in a business, product, or process context
• Professional proficiency in Swedish, spoken and written

Nice to Have

• Experience analysing and breaking down complex problems into concrete requirements, in a leading or central role
• Strong track record of user-centred product development
• Experience from large public sector organisations (1,000+ employees)
