About this role
We are scaling our Offline Lending business in Nigeria and looking for a Product Manager to own the product end-to-end - from acquisition and loan origination to repayment, collections, and portfolio performance.
We are looking for a hands-on product leader with strong experience in the Nigerian lending market, who understands offline / branch / field-based lending and can drive both portfolio growth and sustainable profitability.
We expect the first tangible outcomes within 6–8 weeks.
What You’ll Do
- Own the Offline Lending product lifecycle end-to-end
- Optimize loan products, eligibility, pricing, limits, tenor, and approval processes
- Improve customer acquisition through branches, field teams, agents, and other offline channels
- Drive portfolio growth while maintaining healthy PAR, NPL, default, and profitability metrics
- Work with Risk, Credit, Operations, Collections, Data, Engineering, and Commercial teams
- Use data to improve approval rates, turnaround time, repayment, repeat lending, and unit economics
- Identify opportunities to scale the lending portfolio across Nigeria
- 4–7 years of Product Management / Product Ownership experience
- Strong experience in lending products in Nigeria
- Hands-on experience with offline / branch-led / field-based lending
- Strong understanding of credit assessment, underwriting, loan origination, repayment, and collections
- Experience with portfolio management and lending metrics such as PAR, NPL, default, yield, and loss rates
- Experience in fintech, MFB, banking, consumer finance, or digital lending
- Strong commercial and data-driven mindset
- Proven ability to work cross-functionally with Risk, Credit, Operations, Collections, Data, and Engineering
- Strong stakeholder management and execution skills
- Fluent English
