About this role

TL;DR: We’re looking for a Product Manager to help shape Lovable’s Identity & Access Management team and own how authentication, authorization, and identity work across the existing Lovable app ecosystem and the more than one million new apps built every week. You’ll work with a talented team of engineers and designers to build open, scalable identity primitives that serve individual builders, enterprises, application users, developers, and AI agents without compromising Lovable’s simplicity.

Why Lovable?

Lovable is the software creation platform that gives people the power to act on the problems closest to them. For decades, turning an idea into software required so much capital, technical fluency, and time that many ideas never came to life. Lovable is the counterargument: a platform for all people with ideas, ambition, and problems worth solving. From solopreneurs to small business owners to teams at companies like Adidas and Zendesk, people have built over 60 million projects on Lovable since its launch in November 2024. And we’re just getting started.

We’re building a generational company from Stockholm, with growing teams in London, Boston, New York, and San Francisco. Our team is small, talent-dense, and moving quickly, with a culture rooted in extreme ownership, high velocity, and low-ego collaboration. We look for people who care deeply, ship fast, and are eager to make a dent in the world.

Lovable is one of TIME’s 100 Most Influential Companies and has been recognized on the Forbes AI 50 and CNBC Disruptor 50, reflecting our momentum as one of Europe’s fastest-growing AI companies and one of the most ambitious places to build in this next era of software.

What we’re looking for

  • Significant experience owning technically complex products, across identity, authentication, authorization, developer platforms, or infrastructure.

  • A track record of setting product direction in ambiguous problem spaces, aligning teams around a clear strategy, and turning that strategy into shipped products.

  • Strong knowledge of modern identity systems and open standards, including OAuth, OpenID Connect, SAML, SCIM, passkeys, service accounts, roles, permissions, and policy-based access control.

  • Technical fluency. You program or have programmed, and can engage credibly with engineers on platform architecture, APIs, data models, security boundaries, and identity protocols.

  • Strong product sense and systems thinking. You can prioritize across authentication, authorization, and identity needs while building simple primitives that can support enormous scale and increasingly sophisticated use cases.

  • Exceptional communication skills and sharp judgment. You can navigate difficult tradeoffs, explain the options and consequences clearly, and help teams reach informed decisions.

  • A deep appreciation for the needs of personal and enterprise users, as well as both sides of the Lovable experience: the builder configuring identity and the end user interacting with a Lovable-built app.

What you’ll do

  • Represent the user. Develop a deep understanding of identity needs across existing Lovable-built apps and the more than one million new apps created every week.

  • Own the product strategy and roadmap for authentication, authorization, and identity, making deliberate tradeoffs between immediate user needs and durable platform foundations.

  • Define standards-based primitives for users, organizations, agents, roles, permissions, policies, sessions, and delegated access that can scale across a vast and varied application ecosystem.

  • Shape a smooth identity experience for both builders configuring their apps and the people using those apps.

  • Partner closely with engineering to balance the needs of individual builders and enterprise organizations, preserving Lovable’s simplicity while building a foundation that can scale.

  • Define how AI agents and other non-human identities authenticate, receive authority, act on behalf of users, and remain understandable and controllable.

  • Own identity and access needs for programmatic use of Lovable across API, CLI, SDK, and MCP surfaces.

  • Keep it simple. Ship the right slice of functionality, validate what works through user feedback and metrics, and cut what doesn’t.

Projects you’ll tackle first: Partner with engineering to shape and deliver a multi-tenant identity service built on open standards that supports authentication and authorization across millions of applications and provides a durable foundation for Lovable.
