About this role

Reports directly to the CPTO. Senior product role at the intersection of data, AI and business strategy.

At Optimile, we are building the future of e-mobility. As our platform scales, data and AI become core strategic drivers of our business and our products.

We are hiring a Product Manager, Data & AI: a senior product leader who defines how data and AI create real value across Optimile. The scope is broad, the altitude is high, the impact is measurable. You own a strategic pillar of the company.

Your mission

Turn data and AI into customer value, smarter business decisions and new revenue streams.

You own the strategy, roadmap and delivery of data products and AI capabilities at Optimile.

You contribute to the company's data and AI strategy as a peer at the leadership table, in close partnership with engineering, architecture and the AI Steering Group. You translate complexity into shipped products with measurable outcomes.

What you will own

Data products, external and internal.
You define, build and scale data products that create value for customers and for the company. Customer-facing intelligence (fleet insights, driver behaviour, charging analytics) sits next to internal products (customer health, fraud signals, platform performance, revenue leakage). Both matter. You set the operating standard: named consumers, stable contracts, freshness guarantees, quality SLAs, single owner.

Data and AI strategy.
You contribute to Optimile's broader data and AI strategy. You bring the data lens into wider product decisions, identify where AI moves beyond experimentation into scaled product features and define which capabilities ship first.

Depth and breadth on data architecture.
You operate closer to engineering than a typical product manager. In practice you are also the product owner for the data and insights squad. You think with the architect and the data engineers as peers on medallion architecture, data isolation between tenants, update strategies, the Gold-layer boundary against platform features, build versus buy on Databricks. Enough depth to challenge proposals and choose between options, enough breadth to translate the trade-offs back to the business. The architect owns the technical layer; you bring the product lens to those conversations as a peer.

Compliance and AI governance.
Data products at Optimile touch identifiable behaviour (drivers, sessions, payment patterns). You own the product-side decisions on EU AI Act compliance, GDPR, anonymisation, transparency and human oversight, in partnership with the Security Officer and DPO. The regulatory landscape is moving fast; this is core to the role, not a side concern.

A team that will grow.
You start with a small data squad (Data Reporting plus the Data Engineer hire in flight). As the data and AI pillar matures, it is realistic that more squads and product roles align under this scope. You build the foundation that the next stage scales on.

Who you are

You are a senior product leader with deep data experience. You combine product thinking, technical credibility and commercial instinct. You are comfortable at both strategic and execution altitude.

You bring:

  • 5+ years in Product Management, including at least 2 years owning data products end-to-end.
  • SaaS background. You have shipped product in a B2B SaaS environment and understand the operating cadence, the commercial motion and the technical foundations.
  • Technical depth and breadth at the same time. Comfortable thinking with senior architects and data engineers as peers on data architecture, contracts and build versus buy. Comfortable holding a product-side position without trying to own the technical layer.
  • Stakeholder leadership. You bridge product, engineering, commercial and customers. And you build alignment without burning capital.

Experience in mobility, energy, AI ecosystems, or modern data platforms (Databricks, dbt, Kafka, BI tooling) is a strong plus.

Why Optimile?

A pivotal moment in a fast-growing company at the intersection of mobility and energy. You report directly to the CPTO, you sit at the leadership table and you own a strategic pillar of the business at the moment it is being defined.

You get:

  • High ownership and autonomy
  • Direct impact on strategy and growth
  • Real exposure at leadership level
  • The scope to grow your team as the pillar grows
