Job Description

About the role:

The Product Manager, Acute Dialysis is responsible for business performance and long-term portfolio health for their assigned product portfolio. This role serves as the marketing lead on new product development, sustaining engineering projects, and tactical execution within the Acute Dialysis portfolio. This position will work in close partnership with commercial, R&D, operations, regulatory, quality, finance, and other functional teams across BD to ensure strong performance of their assigned product portfolio.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work collaboratively with cross functional teams to advance prioritized projects in line with key business goals for revenue, profitability, and timing
  • Demonstrate a deep understanding of market dynamics, customer needs and clinical application in the vascular access space
  • Build product line marketing strategy in alignment with business goals
  • Define and lead required voice of customer / market insights work in support of portfolio objectives
  • Leverage customer insights and functional input to develop project business cases and commercial plans to deliver above market growth
  • Collaborate with global and regional commercial teams to ensure decisions are informed by the most relevant local market dynamics; communicate decisions, their implications, and required actions to local commercial teams in a clear and timely manner
  • Clearly communicate commercial performance with high level leadership stakeholders; provide recommendations and strategic adjustments with a strong bias towards financial results, product quality, and customer impact
  • Partner with supply chain on product line global demand forecast and manage product supply continuity, including resolution of allocation/backorder
  • Prepare and present general project and overall business updates to leadership as required
  • Establish pricing corridors for the product line

Minimum Education and Experience Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or Technical Discipline
  • Minimum of 3 years product management experience required
  • Excellent communication, presentation and writing skills
  • Passion for challenging the status quo through technology or process disruption
  • Demonstrated experience working independently and cross-functionally in a fast-paced, results oriented environment
  • Capability to manage day-to-day product line execution, including global demand forecasting, product-level supply continuity, allocation/backorder resolution, and pricing corridor input.
  • Ability to conduct voice of customer and market research studies to inform portfolio lifecycle management strategies
  • 25%+ global travel required

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA or advanced degree
  • Medical device or Life Science experience
  • Direct experience in driving financial results
  • Strong technical background
