Product Builder

Role Overview 
As Accordant continues to expand its Accordant Software division, we’re seeking a hands-on Product Builder to help design, build, and evolve the technology that powers our proprietary software products and integrations. This role is focused on developing technically complex solutions that create meaningful value for our clients and support Accordant’s continued growth. 

The Product Builder will work at the intersection of software engineering, cloud technology, ERP systems, and product development. This individual will build integrations, backend services, APIs, and reusable product capabilities while contributing to technical architecture and larger product initiatives. The focus is on creating scalable, repeatable solutions that can be leveraged across clients and products, not one-off customizations. 

The ideal candidate brings strong software development experience, technical problem-solving skills, and a genuine interest in emerging technologies. They should be comfortable working across APIs, databases, cloud services, and modern development tools, and be eager to leverage AI-enabled development practices to accelerate how we design, build, test, and improve our products. Compensation | Base salary of $100,000+, with eligibility for an annual bonus

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, test, and deploy scalable software products, backend services, integrations, and reusable product capabilities.  

• Partner with Product Managers, Product Builder Analysts, and technical stakeholders to translate business and product requirements into scalable technical solutions. 

• Build integrations between Sage Intacct, ERP and business systems, third-party applications, and cloud-based services using APIs, web services, and modern integration technologies.  

• Develop backend services, APIs, automation, and cloud-native solutions, including Azure Functions and related technologies.  

• Contribute to roadmap and larger product initiatives, including technical discovery, solution design, architecture, development, testing, and deployment.  

• Write clean, maintainable, well-tested code and apply modern development practices, including CI/CD, monitoring, and automated testing.  

• Troubleshoot complex technical issues and leverage AI-enabled development tools to accelerate development, prototyping, testing, and problem-solving.  

• Evaluate emerging technologies and development approaches to continuously improve Accordant’s software capabilities, scalability, and long-term product value. 
   

Qualifications 

• 5+ years of professional software development experience, with a strong background in backend development, integrations, or enterprise applications. 

• Demonstrated experience designing and building production-quality software, not solely configuring or implementing existing applications. 

• Strong experience developing integrations using APIs, web services, and modern integration patterns (like MCPs). 

• Experience with cloud-based development and integration technologies, such as Azure Functions or similar serverless/cloud services. 

• Strong backend development experience, including databases, T-SQL or comparable SQL technologies, XML, REST APIs, and related technologies. 

• Demonstrated a strong growth mindset and enthusiasm for embracing and leveraging next-generation technologies. 

• Experience working with authentication and authorization technologies such as OAuth and other modern authentication mechanisms. 

• Experience working with ERP, financial, or other complex enterprise systems; Sage Intacct experience is strongly preferred. 

• Ability to understand complex business and technical requirements and translate them into scalable software solutions. 

• Experience contributing to software architecture, technical design, or larger development initiatives. 

• Demonstrated ability to write clean, maintainable, testable, and reliable code. 

• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to independently investigate and resolve complex technical challenges. 

• Experience working cross-functionally and collaboratively with software development teams, product leaders, technical stakeholders, and other internal business teams to align priorities, translate business needs into actionable solutions, and support successful project and product outcomes. 
• Nice-to-have: Experience with construction accounting and/or a strong understanding of construction industry operations.
