Why This Role Matters
As a Principal Product Manager, you will play a key role in shaping product strategy and driving some of GoKwik's most important and complex product initiatives. You will operate at a company-wide level, identifying high-impact opportunities, defining product direction, and leading cross-functional teams to build products that create significant customer and business value.
This role requires a combination of strategic thinking, strong product judgment, deep customer understanding, and hands-on execution. You will work closely with senior leadership, Product, Engineering, Design, Data, AI, and Business teams to influence the direction of GoKwik's product ecosystem.
What You'll Own
Product Strategy & Vision
- Define and drive the product vision, strategy, and long-term roadmap for high-impact product areas.
- Identify and prioritise opportunities that can create significant customer and business value.
- Translate company-level objectives into clear product strategies and measurable outcomes.
- Develop a deep understanding of customers, markets, competitors, and emerging technology trends.
- Make strategic product decisions balancing customer needs, business impact, technical feasibility, and long-term scalability.
- Influence broader product strategy and contribute to GoKwik's overall product direction.
Product Discovery & Problem Solving
- Identify complex, ambiguous customer and business problems and define clear problem statements.
- Lead deep customer discovery, market analysis, and data-driven research to uncover high-value opportunities.
- Develop and validate product hypotheses through research, experimentation, and rapid iteration.
- Challenge existing assumptions and identify new opportunities for product differentiation and growth.
- Build a strong understanding of customer workflows, pain points, and evolving needs.
Product Execution
- Own complex product initiatives from discovery and strategy through execution, launch, adoption, and optimisation.
- Define product requirements, success metrics, prioritisation frameworks, and execution plans.
- Partner closely with Engineering and Design to develop scalable and intuitive product solutions.
- Navigate complex dependencies, technical constraints, and organisational trade-offs.
- Maintain strong execution discipline while ensuring teams remain aligned with the broader product strategy.
- Identify and remove execution bottlenecks across cross-functional teams.
Cross-Functional Leadership
- Lead large, complex initiatives involving multiple Product, Engineering, Design, Data, AI, and Business teams.
- Build alignment across senior stakeholders and influence decisions without direct authority.
- Partner with leadership to shape strategic priorities and investment decisions.
- Communicate product strategy, trade-offs, progress, and outcomes clearly to executive stakeholders.
- Act as a product thought partner to senior leaders across the organisation.
- Establish strong operating rhythms for strategic initiatives, roadmap reviews, and product performance.
Product Growth & Business Impact
- Define and own the metrics that measure product success and business impact.
- Use quantitative and qualitative insights to identify growth and optimisation opportunities.
- Drive product adoption, engagement, retention, revenue, and other relevant business outcomes.
- Establish experimentation frameworks and use data to guide product decisions.
- Continuously evaluate product performance and identify opportunities to improve customer and business outcomes.
- Connect product investments to measurable business impact.
Product Leadership
- Raise the bar for product thinking, customer obsession, experimentation, and execution across the organisation.
- Mentor and coach Product Managers and help develop product capabilities within the team.
- Establish strong product practices, frameworks, and decision-making mechanisms.
- Share product insights, frameworks, and learnings across the broader Product organisation.
- Help build a culture of ownership, data-driven decision-making, and continuous improvement.
- Serve as a role model for high-quality product strategy and execution.
Who You Are
- 5 - 9 years of product management experience, with significant experience owning complex products or product portfolios.
- Proven track record of building and scaling products that have delivered meaningful customer and business impact.
- Experience working in B2B SaaS, fintech, eCommerce, payments, consumer technology, or other technology-driven businesses.
- Strong product strategy and vision-setting capabilities with the ability to operate at both company and product levels.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills and comfort navigating highly ambiguous and complex problems.
- Deep understanding of product discovery, customer research, prioritisation, experimentation, analytics, and product execution.
- Strong commercial understanding and ability to connect product decisions to business outcomes.
- Comfortable working with Engineering and Design leaders on complex technical and product challenges.
- Strong data orientation with the ability to use quantitative and qualitative insights to make product decisions.
- Excellent executive communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Demonstrated ability to influence senior stakeholders and lead through influence rather than authority.
- Experience mentoring Product Managers and contributing to the development of product teams and practices.
