About this role

Here at C3, we are passionate about using our talents for God’s purposes, and that’s why we’ve dedicated our careers to a ministry, not just a job title. We strive to pursue growth, lead change, and engage quality. We laugh hard and honor God with integrity!

Our Lead Preschool Teachers play an important role in creating a consistent, engaging, and nurturing classroom experience for children ages 2–6. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys taking ownership of a classroom—from planning and preparation to leading the daily flow and building relationships with students and families.

We’re looking for a dependable, flexible team player who wants to be part of a supportive and collaborative preschool team. Our Lead Teachers work independently within their own classrooms while also sharing ideas, communicating with fellow teachers, supporting one another, and adapting when needed to help our students and preschool ministry thrive.

As a Lead Teacher, you will be responsible for planning and implementing developmentally appropriate lessons and activities, preparing classroom materials, establishing routines, and creating an environment where children can grow academically, socially, and spiritually. You’ll work closely with your Assistant Teacher to coordinate classroom responsibilities and provide clear direction and support throughout the preschool day.

Lead Teachers also serve as an important connection between Adventure Kids Preschool and our families through regular classroom communication and by helping parents stay informed about what their children are learning and experiencing at preschool.

We currently have an opening for a morning Lead Teacher, Monday–Thursday, 9:00–11:30 AM, with additional weekly planning and preparation time.

Applicant Requirements:

  • A growing relationship with Jesus Christ and willingness to model Biblical priorities and the core values of C3.
  • Successful completion of a C3-initiated background check.
  • Dependable and committed to maintaining a consistent classroom presence and schedule.
  • A flexible, collaborative approach and willingness to support the needs of the classroom and preschool team.
  • Experience working with young children in an educational or classroom setting.
  • Ability to confidently lead and manage a preschool classroom.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to plan ahead, manage classroom responsibilities, and follow through on expectations.
  • An understanding of developmentally appropriate practices for young children.
  • Previous lesson-planning and curriculum-planning experience is highly desired.

You’ll be happy if you enjoy:

  • Planning and implementing creative, age-appropriate preschool lessons and activities.
  • Creating hands-on opportunities for children to learn through play.
  • Taking ownership of a classroom and keeping it organized and prepared.
  • Establishing routines and providing positive guidance and redirection.
  • Helping children develop independence, confidence, and social skills.
  • Incorporating Biblical truths and faith-based learning into the preschool day.
  • Communicating and building positive relationships with preschool families.
  • Collaborating with and providing direction to an Assistant Teacher.
  • Sharing ideas and resources with other Lead Teachers.
  • Finding creative solutions and adapting when plans change.
  • Being part of a supportive team that genuinely enjoys working together.
