We are looking for an experienced Presales Solution Architect to lead end-to-end customer engagements for cloud transformation opportunities. The role involves working closely with enterprise customers to understand their business and technology challenges, design scalable AWS-based solutions, and translate technical requirements into compelling proposals.

You will act as a key customer-facing technical advisor, leading discovery sessions, architecture discussions, RFP/RFI responses, solution presentations, and technical negotiations. The role requires strong collaboration with Sales, Solution Architecture, and Delivery teams to ensure solutions are technically sound, commercially viable, and aligned with customer objectives.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design end-to-end AWS cloud architectures for migration, modernization, hybrid cloud, and managed services engagements.
• Lead technical discovery workshops, cloud readiness assessments, application assessments, and dependency mapping.
• Develop migration strategies using the 6Rs framework: Rehost, Replatform, Refactor, Re-architect, Retire, and Retain.
• Design highly available, scalable, secure, and resilient cloud solutions aligned with customer SLAs.
• Architect application modernization strategies including monolith-to-microservices transformation, containerization, and Kubernetes adoption.
• Define database migration strategies across Oracle, MSSQL, MySQL, PostgreSQL, and NoSQL platforms.
• Prepare High-Level Design (HLD) and Low-Level Design (LLD) documentation for proposed solutions.
• Lead technical responses to RFPs, RFIs, proposals, and customer questionnaires.
• Conduct POCs, architecture workshops, technical assessments, and solution demonstrations.
• Present technical architectures, business value, and cloud transformation strategies to CIOs, CTOs, IT leadership, and technical review boards.
• Support solution defence, technical Q&A, architecture reviews, and customer negotiations throughout the presales lifecycle.
• Collaborate with Sales and presales teams on techno-commercial proposals, BOMs, effort estimates, and solution documentation.
• Work closely with delivery teams during post-sale architecture handover and implementation planning.
• Develop reusable architecture patterns, reference architectures, frameworks, and solution accelerators.
• Stay current with AWS services, AWS Well-Architected Framework, cloud security practices, and emerging technologies.
• Collaborate with AWS partner teams on technical alignment, joint solutioning, and cloud initiatives.
• Contribute to cloud competency development, internal knowledge sharing, and certification initiatives.

WHAT MAKES YOU A GREAT FIT

• 7+ years of experience in cloud architecture, solution architecture, presales, or technology consulting, with strong experience in customer-facing roles.
• Strong hands-on expertise in AWS cloud architecture, migration, modernization, and managed services.
• Proven experience leading enterprise discovery workshops and translating business requirements into technical solutions.
• Strong understanding of AWS services, cloud networking, security, compute, storage, databases, monitoring, and disaster recovery.
• Experience designing high availability, auto-scaling, fault-tolerant, secure, and cost-optimized architectures.
• Strong knowledge of application modernization, microservices, containers, and Kubernetes.
• Experience with enterprise database migration involving relational and NoSQL platforms.
• Strong understanding of the AWS 6Rs migration framework and cloud adoption strategies.
• Ability to create and communicate HLDs, LLDs, architecture diagrams, proposals, and technical documentation.
• Excellent presentation and communication skills with the ability to engage CXO-level and technical stakeholders.
• Strong commercial awareness and the ability to connect technical solutions with business outcomes.
• Experience responding to RFPs/RFIs, preparing proposals, conducting POCs, and defending solutions.
• Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• AWS certifications such as Solutions Architect, Solutions Architect Professional, or related certifications are highly desirable.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple presales opportunities, and operate effectively in a fast-paced environment.
