About this role
Role Summary
In this all-round position, you will perform repairs on mechanical seals from start to finish at our Etten-Leur location. You will work on all kinds of seals that have wear, are broken or need an upgrade. There is a lot of variation between jobs. You mainly work independently on seals where the average turnaround time is about 5 days. With some customers we have agreed on a turnaround of 24 hours, so it happens regularly that you have to deal with a strict deadline.
Your jobs naturally start with disassembling, cleaning and inspecting the seals and assessing the parts that need to be repaired or replaced. If your recommendation is to repair you prepare a repair recommendation. Once all parts are available or repaired, you make sure that the seals are assembled and tested so that the seal can be shipped to the customer within the specified deadline, budget and with the right quality.
Your role
Disassemble, clean and inspect seals to assess parts for repair or replacement.
Using various types of precision measuring equipment to map the dimensions of parts and components.
Preparing inspection reports and repair recommendations
Collaborate with various production departments such as Assembly, Welding & Machining, Engineering, Project Management and Planning / Work Preparation.
1x per 2 months you will have 1 week consignment shift in addition to your normal working hours
Your profile
You are a go-getter who enjoys doing entire repairs from start to finish. It should come as no surprise that in this position you will (in time) have a lot of knowledge of mechanical seals. Are you mechanically well versed and do you want to learn a lot with us in a short period of time? Then we will take up the challenge with you! You are a strong communicator, so speaking to our customers in the workshop is no problem for you. It would be helpful if you have experience with turning and milling, but that is not a hard requirement. Furthermore, you have:
Secondary vocational degree (MBO) Mechanical Engineering or a demonstrably strong mechanical background.
At least 1 to 3 years of relevant work experience
Basic PC skills (Word, Excel, ERP programs)
You are able to read and interpret drawings
Good command of the Dutch language and basic knowledge of English

You have 40 days off with full-time employment (27+13 ADV).
Full-time position in the day shift with 1 x per 2 months consignation shift, of course with a nice compensation!
