About the Role

Talarico for Texas is building a movement to take back power for working people. The campaign is seeking a full-time Policy & Special Projects Manager to produce high-quality policy research, execute our policy and communications strategy, and support various cross-departmental projects.

Responsibilities

  • Manage strategic planning and execution of the campaign’s policy platform
  • Execute policy research and create one-pagers, issue briefs, and talking points
  • Build and maintain relationships with community leaders, policy experts, and advocacy groups to gather diverse perspectives on policy issues
  • Support special projects in collaboration with other campaign departments

Qualifications

  • At least 2 years of experience with policy and legislation, political campaigns, or related fields
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Exceptional critical thinking skills, attention to detail, and organizational skills
  • Discretion when dealing with sensitive information
  • Ability to learn quickly, implement feedback, and meet tight deadlines under pressure
  • Willingness to be a team player and support colleagues and the campaign at large

Reports to: Policy Director
Location: Austin, Texas (Statewide Travel Required)

Salary: $6,000 - $7,000 per month
