Platform Engineer
About this role
We are looking for a mid-level Platform Engineer to join our R&D organization.
In this role, you will help develop and operate cloud infrastructure and engineering capabilities that support R&D platforms and internal applications. You will work with infrastructure as code, cloud services, Kubernetes, automation, and observability while collaborating with engineering teams across the organization.
Our current technology landscape includes AWS, Azure, Amazon EKS, Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), and Terraform. We expect our tools to evolve and value engineers who can apply strong engineering principles across technologies.
This position is ideal if you enjoy solving infrastructure problems through software, improving engineering workflows, and taking ownership of reliable and maintainable solutions.
- Develop and maintain cloud infrastructure using infrastructure-as-code practices
- Support Kubernetes-based environments and shared cloud services
- Build and improve infrastructure validation, delivery, and operational automation
- Improve the reliability, security, and usability of engineering environments
- Troubleshoot issues across cloud infrastructure, Kubernetes, networking, and delivery systems
- Support infrastructure upgrades, maintenance, and incident resolution
- Contribute to logging, metrics, alerting, and operational readiness
- Collaborate with R&D application and platform teams to understand infrastructure needs
- Participate in technical design, implementation, and code reviews
- Create and maintain technical documentation and operational procedures
- Independently deliver well-defined engineering tasks with clear ownership
- Participate in the support of team-owned environments and services
You approach infrastructure as an engineering discipline and prefer repeatable automation over manual work. You investigate problems methodically, take ownership of your work, and communicate clearly with technical stakeholders. You collaborate effectively, remain open to learning, and are comfortable working with technologies and systems that continue to evolve.
For This Role, You Will Need:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience
- Professional experience in platform engineering, cloud infrastructure, DevOps, site reliability engineering, or software engineering
- Experience with AWS, Azure, or another public cloud provider
- Experience with infrastructure as code, preferably Terraform
- Working knowledge of containers and Kubernetes
- Experience with Git-based development and CI/CD practices
- Experience with a scripting or programming language such as Python, PowerShell, Bash
- Understanding of cloud networking, identity and access management, secrets, and security fundamentals
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with other teams
- Professional working proficiency in English
- Hands-on experience with AWS or Azure
- Experience operating Amazon EKS or Azure Kubernetes Service
- Experience developing reusable Terraform modules and managing remote state
- Familiarity with cloud-native logging, metrics, tracing, dashboards, and alerting
- Experience supporting shared development, test, or validation environments
- Experience with cloud security scanning, incident response, or disaster recovery
- Experience improving infrastructure or developer workflows
- People-centered, outstanding workplace culture
- Cohesive, supportive community
- Stable, reliable corporate background
- Competitive compensation
- Diverse professional development and advancement opportunities
- Cafeteria with many selectable elements
- Additional non-wage compensation benefits
- Opportunities supporting health preservation
- Development opportunities and participation in training programs
- Life and accident insurance for all employees
- Supportive atmosphere, high-quality team-building activities, and family-focused corporate events
- Employee discounts at restaurants, bookstores, and service providers
- Nursery, kindergarten, and school start support
- Compass Program offering free psychological, life management, financial, and legal advice
- Commuting support
