About this role

Overview

Platform Architects are the technical backbone of Seismic's go-to-market team. Where Sales Engineers lead the business conversation and the demo, Platform Architects go deeper: into the stack, the integration layer, the security model, and the architectural decisions that determine whether Seismic genuinely fits inside a customer's enterprise environment.

This is a role for people who find that kind of problem interesting. You will work alongside Sales Engineers on their most complex technical challenges, serve as the field's authority on how Seismic integrates, authenticates, and scales within enterprise infrastructure, and contribute to the scale programs that help Seismic reach more customers more efficiently.

This role is based in the AMER region and reports to the Global Leader of Platform Architects.

Who you are:

  • Two or more years of customer-facing experience in a solutions engineering, solutions architecture, or technical presales role at an enterprise SaaS company.
  • Solid working knowledge of enterprise integration patterns: REST APIs, OAuth 2.0, SAML and SSO, webhooks, and enterprise identity management.
  • Familiarity with enterprise security and compliance frameworks and how SaaS vendors address requirements around data governance, access control, and regulatory compliance.
  • Hands-on experience building with AI and LLM technologies, including agentic workflows, prompt engineering, and orchestration frameworks such as MCP.
  • Experience configuring or building technical proof-of-concepts or demo environments in a presales or technical enablement context.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present technical material clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Solid understanding of enterprise software architecture: SaaS delivery models, CRM integration, content management systems, and cloud infrastructure fundamentals.
  • Industry knowledge in Seismic's key verticals (financial services, healthcare, technology, insurance) is a strong plus.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
  • Comfortable with hybrid work and willing to travel for customer engagements and team events.

What you'll be doing:

  • Partner with Sales Engineers on complex enterprise opportunities, owning the technical architecture conversation: integration design, authentication, security posture, service delivery narrative, compliance requirements, and data governance.
  • Lead technical discovery and solution design sessions with IT, InfoSec, and architecture stakeholders, translating Seismic's technical capabilities into direct answers for customers' specific infrastructure questions.
  • Demonstrate Seismic's approach to agentic AI and MCP-based integrations, helping customers understand how to build next-generation user experiences on top of the Seismic platform using LLMs and orchestration tooling.
  • Drive the technical validation layer in POC engagements: configuring environments, validating integration patterns, and clearing the technical blockers that stand between a prospect and a decision.
  • Build self-guided demo experiences that Sales Engineers can share with customers to explore Seismic's technical capabilities on their own, contributing directly to the team's ability to scale coverage.
  • Maintain working expertise across Seismic's integration ecosystem, including SSO, SAML, OAuth 2.0, REST APIs, webhooks, and key platform partner integrations.
  • Bring field patterns back to Product Management: integration gaps, compliance friction, architectural objections, and the technical signals that affect whether deals close.
  • Stay current on enterprise security, compliance, and data governance trends (SOC 2, GDPR, data residency, Zero Trust) and help customers understand how Seismic's architecture addresses their requirements.
