We are seeking a Plant Accountant to serve as the primary on-site finance partner for our Morristown manufacturing facility. This position plays a key role in supporting plant operations through financial analysis, cost control, reporting, compliance, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Planning & Cost Management
- Monitor factory spending and analyze budget and forecast performance.
- Prepare variance analyses and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Support annual budgeting and forecasting activities.
Manufacturing Finance & Reporting
- Support month-end close and financial reporting processes.
- Analyze manufacturing costs, labor expenses, inventory transactions, and operational variances.
- Develop and maintain plant KPIs and performance reports.
Fixed Asset & Capital Management
- Maintain fixed asset records and accountability.
- Track capital expenditures and project spending.
- Coordinate asset audits and inventory verification activities.
Compliance & Internal Controls
- Review payment requests for accuracy, approvals, and policy compliance.
- Support internal and external audits.
- Help strengthen financial controls and improve finance processes.
Cross-Functional Partnership
- Work closely with Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain, Purchasing, HR, and Corporate Finance teams.
- Serve as the primary finance liaison between the Morristown facility and corporate finance leadership.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 3+ years of accounting, manufacturing finance, cost accounting, or plant accounting experience.
- Manufacturing experience is strongly preferred.
- Advanced Excel and financial analysis skills.
- ERP system experience preferred.
