*Must have Neonatal Intensive Care experience (NICU).

 

We are seeking a Physical Therapist, sometimes referred to as a Movement Specialist, Rehab Therapist or Physiotherapist. The Physical Therapist (PT) will help patients regain mobility and function after illness, injury, or surgery through assessments, exercises, and early mobilization. They also assist with pain management, educate patients and families, and support discharge planning to ensure safe transitions after hospitalization. This position is on a per diem basis, meaning PD/PRN as needed. 

 

Responsibilities Section 

 

  • Assessing Patients: Evaluate a patient's mobility, strength, balance, endurance, and functional limitations 
  • Creating Treatment Plans: Develop individualized therapy plans to improve movement and function based on the patient’s condition and goals 
  • Post-Surgical Rehabilitation: Assist patients in regaining function after surgery (e.g., joint replacements, cardiac procedures) 
  • Pain Management: Use techniques such as manual therapy, positioning, and guided movement to reduce pain and improve comfort 
  • Patient & Family Education: Teach patients and caregivers how to perform exercises, use assistive devices (like walkers), and follow safety practices at home

Responsibilities

Provides medically prescribed consultative and therapeutic services in order to restore function and prevent disability in patients with musculoskeletal, cardiopulmonary and/or integumentary disorders. The Physical Therapist I performs responsibilities in accordance with Physical Therapy/Hospital Policy, state and federal regulatory licensing and accrediting requirements.

Qualifications

Education and Work Experience

  • Bachelor/ Masters/ Doctorate/Certificate degree in Physical Therapy
  • Current state Physical Therapy license
  • Current BCLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.
