Pest Control Service Technician | Invercargill

Not all heroes wear capes, some carry pest control gear! We are looking for our next champion to join the Invercargill Team!

At Rentokil Initial, we’re more than pest control, we’re problem solvers, protectors, and trusted experts! Based in Invercargill, you’ll support homes and businesses across the wider region, including Southland, and surrounding areas. If you enjoy variety, teamwork, and building strong customer relationships, we’d love to have you on board. This is a full-time, permanent role, primarily Monday to Friday, with occasional out-of-hours work as required.

Key Responsibilities:

• Load and prep your vehicle each day to tackle your scheduled jobs.
• Inspect customer sites to identify pest issues and recommend solutions.
• Deliver hands-on pest control services using industry-best methods.
• Educate customers on pest prevention and hygiene best practices.
• Complete clear and accurate service reports after each job.
• Maintain strong customer relationships through friendly, professional service.
• Keep an eye out for ways we can add more value for each client.

What You’ll Need to Succeed:

• Legal right to work full-time in NZ and a clean, full NZ driver’s licence
• Previous Pest control experience, residential or commercial! (If applicable)
• Strong people skills with a customer-first attitude
• Physically fit, safety-focused, and comfortable working at heights and confined spaces
• Organised, detail-driven, and able to work independently
• Confident with mobile tech and reporting apps
• Flexible to travel and stay overnight when required around lower south island 

Preferred Qualifications and Experience but not required:

• New Zealand Certificate in Urban Pest Control Level 3
• NZ Firearm License
• Knowledge of pest control regulations and practices
• Working at Heights and EWP licences
• Experience driving manual vehicles

Successful candidates must complete a pre-employment assessment, including medical, reference, and criminal background checks, meeting Rentokil Initial's satisfactory criteria.
