People Graduate Programme
About this role
Hello. We’re Teya.
Teya was founded on a simple belief: local businesses deserve better.
They are the cafés, restaurants, salons, shops and entrepreneurs that bring character to our high streets, create jobs and keep communities moving. Yet for too long, financial services has made life harder for them - with clunky tools, poor support and complexity that gets in the way of running a business.
Teya exists to change that.
We’re building a financial platform for local businesses across Europe - one built around simple tools, thoughtful design and real human support. Our Members rely on us to help them run their business with confidence, and that responsibility shapes the way we work.
We move fast. We care about quality. We stay close to the detail. And we believe great performance and genuine hospitality should go hand in hand.
If you want to build meaningful products, solve real problems and make a genuine difference for local businesses, we’d love to hear from you
Your Mission
Join Teya's People team and get hands-on experience across the functions that help us build, support and scale our organisation.
As a People Graduate, you'll work across a broad range of People disciplines, giving you exposure to how a high-growth fintech attracts talent, supports employees, measures performance, builds culture and uses data to make better business decisions.
This isn't a traditional HR role. You'll work on real projects from day one, combining analytical thinking, problem-solving, project coordination and stakeholder management. You'll have the opportunity to work with teams across Teya and see how People strategy connects to the wider business.
Depending on your projects, you could be helping analyse workforce data and build dashboards, supporting performance and goal-setting programmes, improving People processes, coordinating employee engagement initiatives, or helping deliver an excellent experience for our people.
You'll be encouraged to bring fresh ideas, learn quickly and take ownership. The aim is to give you a broad foundation across People while helping you discover where you can make the biggest impact in your career.
What you'll do
People Analytics & Planning
• Support the management and analysis of Teya's global headcount and people data, ensuring information is accurate and trusted.
• Build and maintain dashboards covering key People metrics including headcount, hiring, attrition, retention and organisational health.
• Analyse trends and turn people data into clear insights and recommendations for leaders.
• Support workforce planning, hiring forecasts, headcount plans and people cost modelling.
• Assist with scenario modelling for hiring plans, organisational changes and business cases.
• Help automate reporting and improve data quality using AI and modern tooling.
Performance & People Programmes
• Support Teya's goals and KPI reporting, keeping data accurate and producing reporting packs and dashboards.
• Help coordinate performance cycles, including communications, tracking completion, calibration and promotion processes.
• Support programmes across the employee lifecycle, including onboarding, probation, new joiner reviews and exit processes.
• Track and analyse programme data to identify trends, risks and opportunities for improvement.
• Help maintain the trackers, forms, documentation and processes behind People programmes.
People Operations & Employee Experience
• Support onboarding activities and help create a great experience for new joiners.
• Help manage People requests and service desk activity, ensuring queries are routed and resolved effectively.
• Maintain People guides, FAQs, knowledge hubs and other documentation.
• Support continuous improvement projects by documenting processes, testing changes and identifying opportunities to simplify how we work.
• Assist with reporting, audits and other People Operations activities.
Culture & Communications
• Support employee engagement initiatives and cultural activities across Teya.
• Help coordinate Teya Connect, our global all-hands, alongside other events, campaigns and awareness activities.
• Support internal communications across different channels, including newsletters, presentations and company updates.
• Help coordinate podcasts, interviews, storytelling and recognition initiatives.
• Gather employee feedback and help measure the impact of engagement and culture initiatives.
• Research ideas and best practices to help improve employee experience and engagement.
Working across Teya
• Partner with People colleagues and stakeholders across the business on projects and ad hoc questions.
• Prepare analysis, presentations and materials for leadership meetings.
• Manage multiple priorities and projects, keeping stakeholders updated and work moving forward.
• Look for opportunities to use technology and AI to make People processes, reporting and ways of working more effective.
• Pitch in wherever needed to help the People team deliver against its priorities.
What we're looking for
• Recently graduated, or graduating this year, and looking to start your career in People, People Analytics, Operations, Performance, Employee Experience or a related field.
• We welcome graduates from a range of academic backgrounds. Quantitative disciplines such as Economics, Mathematics, Engineering, Computer Science, Physics or Finance are particularly relevant for our analytical work, but they are not essential.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to take a messy question or dataset and break it into a structured solution.
• Excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities without things slipping.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain ideas, information and analysis clearly to different audiences.
• Curious about how businesses work and interested in understanding what makes organisations perform.
• Comfortable working with numbers, data and Microsoft Excel. Experience with SQL, Python, Power BI, Tableau or similar tools is a bonus, but not essential.
• Comfortable learning new systems and technology quickly.
• Interested in using AI tools to improve productivity, solve problems and automate repetitive work.
• Proactive and willing to figure things out rather than waiting to be told what to do.
• Comfortable working with people across different teams and locations.
• Able to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
• A positive attitude, willingness to learn and enthusiasm for getting involved.
• Previous internship, placement, administrative, customer service, project, student society or volunteering experience is helpful, but not required. Attitude, curiosity and potential matter most.
