The Russo Brothers and AGBO have generated more than $7 billion at the global box office, including Avengers: Endgame. The studio’s projects include Academy Award–winning Everything Everywhere All at Once, Netflix hits The Gray Man, Extraction, and The Whisper Man, and Prime Video’s visceral thriller The Bluff and the global Citadel franchise.

AGBO is currently in production with Netflix on Tygo and Mercenary, both part of the Extraction universe, as well as with Lionsgate on John Rambo, a prequel to the iconic franchise. The studio is in post-production on Avengers: Doomsday, which will be released December 18, 2026. AGBO will begin shooting Avengers: Secret Wars later this year. Both upcoming Avengers films are directed by Anthony and Joe Russo and co-produced by AGBO and Marvel Studios.

Position Summary:
The HR Generalist, People & Culture is a hands-on role that owns the day-to-day execution of core HR functions while also serving as a frontline resource for managers and employees. This position ensures a seamless and positive experience for employees and candidates while contributing to the efficiency and success of the People & Culture team.


Key Responsibilities:
HR Support & Guidance
• Serve as the first point of contact for managers and employees on day-to-day HR matters.
• Partner with the SVP, People & Culture to guide managers on documenting performance conversations, coaching notes, and disciplinary steps.
• Conduct initial intake for employee concerns and escalate as appropriate.
• Participate in internal investigations by taking notes, compiling documentation and managing files.
• Draft and maintain job descriptions in partnership with hiring managers, ensuring consistency with existing roles and levels.
• Acts as the point of contact with the building, liaising with Facilities and studio leadership.

Onboarding & Offboarding
• Manage and execute the onboarding process for new hires, interns, and temporary employees, ensuring a smooth and welcoming experience.
• Liaise with IT and Facilities to ensure all logistical aspects of onboarding (equipment, workspace, system access) are completed on time.
• Organize and help to continuously improve new hire orientation sessions to provide a strong start for new employees.
• Coordinate and administer all aspects of the offboarding process, including termination checklists, equipment return, system access removal, final timesheet submissions, and exit documentation.
• Communicate with relevant departments (IT, Facilities, Payroll, etc.) to ensure offboarding processes are completed smoothly and in compliance with internal protocols.
• Support departing employees by providing clear guidance, resources, and a respectful exit experience.
• Maintain and update offboarding documentation and identify opportunities to enhance offboarding procedures.

Recruitment Support
• Coordinate and schedule interviews, providing logistical support to candidates, hiring managers, and interview panels.
• Serve as a secondary point of contact for candidates, offering timely communication and a positive candidate experience.
• Support the Internship Program, including planning and execution of events and programming.

Performance Management
• Support the performance review cycle, including manager training.
• Track and monitor performance review cycles, ensuring timely completion and accuracy.
• Respond to employee and manager questions regarding the performance review process.

Compensation & Employment Documentation
• Assist with salary tracking and ensure alignment with departmental budgets.
• Support the preparation of materials for salary survey submissions.
• Prepare compensation reports and documentation as needed.
• Respond to employment verifications and unemployment claims.

Reporting & Administration
• Prepare and manage monthly HR reports and dashboards.
• Maintain and update company organizational charts.

General HR Operations
• Provide project support across People & Culture on a wide range of initiatives
• Support Leave of Absence (LOA) administration, including preparation of leave letters and tracking of time taken.
• Ensure compliance with I-9 documentation requirements.
• Provide payroll support, timesheet reminders, data entry, etc.


Qualifications & Skills:

• 4+ years of experience in increasingly complex HR or People & Culture role, entertainment or games experience preferred.
• Expert-level Excel skills preferred, including proficiency with formulas, pivot tables, data analysis, and reporting.
• Experience supporting a location outside of company headquarters, including proactively coordinating with HR leadership and other departments across time zones or distance to ensure consistent policy application and support.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Comfortable having day-to-day conversations with managers and employees, with good judgment about when to escalate.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills with high attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Passion for creating a positive employee and candidate experience, from first day to last.


Additional Information:
• This role is based in Raliegh, NC. Candidates must be located in the area or willing to relocate.
• Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.
