Payroll Specialist - German Payroll

Make your mark at one of the biggest names in payments. We’re looking for a Payroll Specialist (German Payroll) to join our ever-evolving Global Payroll team within Global Payments Europe and and help shape the future of global commerce.

What you'll own

• Manage end-to-end payroll processing for Germany, ensuring accurate and timely payroll delivery in line with legislation and internal controls.
• Act as the primary contact for payroll-related queries, providing expert guidance on payroll, taxes, social security contributions, and deductions.
• Partner with external payroll vendors to ensure service excellence, compliance, and adherence to agreed service levels.
• Perform payroll audits, reconciliations, and validations to maintain data accuracy across payroll and HR systems.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to enhance payroll processes, controls, and employee experience.

What you'll bring

• 4+ years of experience managing German payroll, with strong knowledge of German payroll legislation, taxation, statutory reporting, and compliance requirements.
• Fluency in German and English, with the ability to communicate complex payroll matters clearly to a variety of stakeholders.
• Experience working with payroll providers, payroll systems, and HRIS platforms within a corporate or shared services environment.
• Advanced Excel skills, including data analysis, Pivot Tables, and lookup functions, with the ability to manage and interpret large data sets.
• Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting time-sensitive deadlines.

It's a bonus if you have

• Experience working in a multinational organization or global payroll environment.
• Exposure to payroll projects, system implementations, or process transformation initiatives.
• Experience mentoring or supporting the development of junior payroll professionals.
