An exciting new role has become available for an experienced Payroll Officer and Accounts all rounder to join our team based in Rosebery.
Reporting into the People & Culture Manager with a dotted line into our Head of Finance your role will primarily encompass Payroll, Accounts receivables/payables and general Admin duties and will suit someone who has a strong attention to detail and experience, together with a can-do attitude.
This role is working approximately 5 days per week, onsite.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process weekly & fortnightly end-to-end payroll for all employees using Heropay (approx. 300 staff)
- Interpret and apply employment related agreements and awards, policies, and procedures, to payroll related matters including salary, leave entitlements and conditions
- Ensure all invoices & payments are processed in a timely & accurate manner
- Using accounting software to categorise payable entries
- Manage payroll year end closing
- Manage workers compensation
- Ad hoc project and administration tasks
- Solid Payroll experience with knowledge of award interpretation
- Experienced using Heropay or similar software
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of the broader team
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, as well as highly developed interpersonal skills
