Parts Counter Representative
Location: Bakersfield, CAPay Range: $21.00 – $26.02 per hour

Quinn CAT is currently hiring a Parts Counter Representative for our Bakersfield location. This is a great opportunity for an experienced parts professional who enjoys helping customers, solving problems, and working in a fast-paced environment.
In this role, you will support customers, technicians, and internal teams by providing accurate parts information, processing orders, and ensuring parts are available when and where they are needed. You will also help promote and support Quinn’s digital parts ordering platforms, including PCC and AGCO eComm, making it easier for customers to do business with us.

Starting wage will depend on experience and education.
Responsibilities
Customer Service & Parts Sales
- Provide professional and accurate service to customers in person, by phone, and online.
- Assist with parts identification, pricing, availability, quotes, and order status.
- Process parts orders accurately and resolve customer questions or concerns.
- Support technicians, outside sales, and internal departments with parts needs.
- Build strong customer relationships through knowledgeable and dependable service.
Parts Operations
- Receive, store, pick, pull, issue, and ship parts.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and process returns and backorders.
- Review incoming stock for accuracy and report discrepancies.
- Maintain an organized parts area and appropriate inventory levels.
- Safely operate forklifts and material-handling equipment as required.
Digital Parts & eCommerce
- Support digital parts ordering platforms, including PCC and AGCO eComm.
- Help customers and internal teams understand and utilize digital ordering options.
- Assist with eCommerce questions, troubleshooting, and order-related issues.
- Encourage increased customer adoption of digital ordering tools.
Technical & Administrative Support
- Use parts manuals, schematics, and electronic systems to identify correct parts.
- Utilize DBS, Antares, PCC, and AGCO eComm to research and process transactions.
- Maintain accurate documentation and support an efficient parts workflow.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- 5–7 years of related parts experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Strong customer service, communication, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Caterpillar, heavy equipment, automotive, agricultural, or industrial parts experience preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and accurate data-entry skills.
- Ability to learn and utilize new systems and technology.
- Experience with DBS, Antares, PCC, and/or AGCO eComm is a plus.
Physical Requirements
- Regularly lift 25–50 lbs. and occasionally up to 100 lbs.
- Ability to work in a parts/warehouse environment and safely operate material-handling equipment.
Qualifications
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and six to nine months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
