Paraprofessional (One-on-One Aide)

Empowerment Academy Charter School is hiring one paraprofessional to support a High School Student and one to support a Middle School Student. This position will work to support a student during their basic instruction in reading, writing, math, and other educational related activities as assigned by the teacher. You will be providing help or breaks/redirection as needed. This is a full time job with a salary and benefits. This is for an immediate position for this year and beyond. A Substitute Certificate is preferred. Experience working with Middle School/ High School aged students is required.

Base Salary: $35,500-$37,500

Hours: Monday-Friday, 7:15am-3:05pm

Teacher certification is not required for this position. However, candidates must, at minimum, have completed 2 years of college (60 credits) and possess an Associate’s or higher degree. Possessing a BA, Substitute Certificate, or working towards a Bachelor’s Degree and/or some teaching experience would be a major plus. It is also important to have strong communications skills, basic administrative skills, and to be a team player who possesses maturity, a strong work ethic, and a whatever-it-takes to help children attitude.

• Experience working with Middle School/ High School aged students is required.
• A Substitute Certificate is preferred.
