Ideally the role will be based from our Australian Support Office but remote arrangements will be considered for the right candidate.

About the Role

As P&A Forecaster you will work closely with the APAC P&A Forecast Manager:

Demand Planning & Forecasting 

  • Maintain monthly cadence of reviewing and generating forecasts and requisite order submission
  • Enter orders into Trek ERP platform and submit orders to vendor
  • Maintain accurate delivery dates in ERP Platform
  • Upload delivery schedules when vendors submit monthly production updates.
  • Submit monthly forecast updates to suppliers, US Forecasters and / or product teams.
  • Work closely with retail purchasing teams to ensure strong alignment between wholesale and retail range/purchasing plans

Customer Engagement and Communication 

  • Seek feedback from local markets regarding initial forecasts for new products
  • Communicate major delays / issues to sales, marketing, and / or retail purchasing team.
  • Collect feedback from local market teams regarding new and existing product and report back to product teams.
  • Provide feedback on potential new products to US Product team.
  • Collaborate and challenge suppliers to optimize inbound product flow, balancing availability and cost

Continuous Improvement of Forecasting/Purchasing process 

  • Identify process gaps and lead continuous improvement initiatives in forecasting tools, workflows, and analysis.
  • Provide ad-hoc analysis and scenario modelling to support strategic decision-making.

What We’re Looking For 

We are on the lookout for someone to join our team with:

  • Bachelor degree in Business, Supply Chain, Commerce or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in demand planning, inventory management or commercial forecasting within consumer goods, cycling or sporting goods is beneficial but not required.
  • Experience working with parts, accessories or aftermarket product categories is highly advantageous.
  • Advanced data skills; experience with planning or ERP systems
  • Curiosity about and experience with AI tools applied to forecasting, demand planning or data analysis; comfortable exploring generative AI to improve accuracy, automate workflows and accelerate decision-making.
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret complex data sets and communicate findings clearly. Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills; comfortable influencing across functions and geographies.
  • High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Values aligned with Trek: hospitality, empathy, curiosity and a passion for cycling.
  • Willingness to work across time zones to collaborate with global and regional teams.
  • An excellent listener who cultivates strong relationships across different markets, functions and cultures
  • Have a learn-it-all mindset.  The bike industry is constantly evolving and staying abreast of current trends is critical.
